Bulldogs make Top-10

The Pike County Bulldogs cracked the Alabama Sports Writers Association’s Class 3A poll for the first time this year.

The Bulldogs destroyed Headland 65-45 last Thursday and throttled Abbeville 72-44 Tuesday night to sneak in at No. 10.

The Bulldogs (14-5) pushed their win streak to four games with the victory. They have won six of seven games since being put out of the Dothan Hoops Classic Dec. 26.

The Pike Liberal Arts Lady Patriots remained in the polls and moved up from No. 6 to No. 5 this week. PLAS used a 3-0 week with wins over No. 6 Taylor Road and previous No. 2 Glenwood to move back to the No. 5 slot.
