Mrs. Velma Mathews Carroll age 84 of Troy Died Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 22, 2009 at 11:00 am at the First United Methodist Church in Troy with Reverend David McVay officiating.
Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, January 21, 2009 from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Carla and Tom Rice of Troy and a grandson Thomas Rice of Birmingham.
She was preceded in death by her husband Collace Carroll and her parents J.H. (Son) and Louise Mathews.
Memorials may be made to the First Methodist Church of Troy.
The Annie Green Sunday School Class at First Methodist and Ray Sullivan will act a Honorary Pallbearers.
