Services for James Hubbard Johnson, 71, of Troy who died at Jackson Hospital will be at 11 a.m. January 17, 2009 at St Paul A.M.E. Church with Rev. Vernon McLeod officiating.
Burial will be in Perote Cemetery in Bullock County under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 5 p.m. January 16.
Mr. Johnson was born September 18, 1937 in Bullock County.
His parents were Herbert Johnson and Bobbie Lee Johnson.
He attended Bullock County Schools and Trenholm.
He was also in the U S Marines and worked for the railroad.
Mr. Martin attended St. Paul A.M.E. and was a member of the Trustee Board, Men’s Choir and Usher Board.
He loved fishing, talking with friends and talking with his brothers and sisters on a daily basis.
Pallbearers will be his nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be male trustees and stewards of the church.
Floral bearers will be Soros of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority.
