Trojan men host UNC-W

If Troy Trojans basketball fans thought the game Thursday was fast paced, then Trojans head coach Don Maestri said fans need to come back Monday when Troy hosts UNC-Wilmington.
“UNC-Wilmington really knows how to run the floor and shoot the ball quick,” Maestri said. “Our systems are kind of identical. We like to get the ball up the court and take the quick shot.”
Troy lost 107-95 in the second game of the season in Wilmington and Maestri said it has been the fastest paced game the Trojans have played all season.
“We shot the ball well last time, but they just shot it better,” Maestri said. “Our fans better get ready to see a team that shoots a lot of threes and they are good at it.”
This is the last home game for the Trojans before they host FIU Jan. 3 at Trojan Arena.
“I just hope we play better than we did last time we played them and I hope we can take better shots and pull out a victory,” Maestri said. “We took some poor shots the last time we played these guys, but as far as style goes we won’t be doing much different this time around.
Tip off is set for 7 p.m.
