Mrs. Mary Shaver Rhodes, age 87, of Little Oak, died Friday, December 12, 2008 at the Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 15, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from the Little Oak Methodist Church with the Reverends Lavon Davis and Andy Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.
Visitation will be held at the church one hour prior to the Service.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Annette and James Wells, two sons Carroll Rhodes Jr. and Danny Rhodes all of Little Oak, granddaughter Tammy L. Hicks, Great Grandson William Ross Meeks, Stepchildren M.C. Rhodes, Ray Rhodes, Anita Stamey and Carolyn Singleton, special children Rob Oliver and Jimmy Blackmon and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rhodes was preceded in death by her husband Carroll H. Rhodes Sr., her parents John and Mary Shaver, Brothers Yancey, Harold, Roy, and Grady Shaver, sisters Blanc Herbst, Ester Simkins, Melva Gardner and Thelma Snider, an infant brother and sister, and a special sister-in-law Annie Laura Shaver.
Active pallbearers will be Curtis Shaver, Jim Shaver, Bart Snyder, Robin Snyder, Jammie Johns, Trey Lee, and Steve Stroud.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Shaver, Keith Snyder, Larry Snyder, Watson Kyzar, Jerry Folmar, Royce Stroud, Larry Shaver, Jackie Shaver and Eugene Shaver.
Memorials may be made to the Little Oak Methodist Church Sunday School.
