PCHS boys grab another road win
The Pike County Bulldogs traveled to Luverne last night for another road test. The Bulldogs grabbed a win over Luverne 57-37 by way of a late run that Luverne couldn’t overcome.
“It’s getting momentum for us,” Bulldogs head coach Doug Holland said.
The Bulldogs and Tigers got off to a slow start in the game, but Pike County took the lead just before the end of the first quarter, and that set the tone for the remainder of the night.
“We’re working real hard as a team and as a coaching staff right now,” Holland said.
The Bulldogs relied on strong performances from Tevin Andrews and Quay Bailey to get the road victory.
Andrews had a double-figure performance in the game with 11 points and 10 rebounds. He also had five assists in the game.
Bailey punched in 13 points for the Bulldogs and added eight assists on the night.
Darius Gill, a center from the Bulldogs B-Team saw action in the varsity game last night as well. Gill added seven points in the game.
The Lady Bulldogs fell to the Tigers 49-31 before the boys’ game.
