Santa coming to library

Santa Claus is coming to the Troy Public Library tonight and a fun time of activities has been planned.
Teresa Colvin, children’s librarian, said Santa will be at the library to hear Christmas wishes of all the good little boys and girls from 6 until 7 p.m.
“We expect a lot of children to come see Santa, but they don’t need to worry that he’ll leave without hearing their Christmas wishes,” Colvin said. “We’ll stay until every child has seen Santa.”
To ease the anxiousness that all children experience waiting to see Santa, the members of Alpha Delta Kappa education sorority at Troy University will read stories to the children and lead them in craft activities.
“Children love to hear Christmas stories read and they will have a lot of fun with the craft projects,” Colvin said. “They’ll have a chance to make bookmarks and picture frames to take home and we’ll also give each child a book to take home as long as the books last. Waiting for Santa will be a lot of fun at the Troy Public Library.”
Parents are encouraged to bring their own cameras to take pictures of their little ones with Santa.
“We are looking forward to Santa’s visit and invite all boys and girls to come see Santa tonight at the Troy Public Library.”
