James Daniel Burks, age 91, of Bessemer, AL, passed away on November 14, 2008. He was born January 20, 1917 in China Grove, AL; he served in the Army during WWII, he retired from U.S. Steel after 30 yrs, he was a member of Vestavia Primitive Baptist Church and a deacon, and the Heart of Dixie Camping Club. Graveside Services will be held at Montevallo City Cemetery on Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11:00 A.M. Elders Tom Blair and Sam Bryant officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2008 from 4:30 – 6:30 P.M. at Patterson-Forest Grove Funeral Home in Pleasant Grove.
