The Pike County of Chamber of Commerce 2009 Leadership Pike class hosted a Haunted Golf Extravaganza last Saturday.
The event was the group’s fundraiser for the scholarships they will hand out to each of the four schools in Pike County. Marketing coordinator Jane Martin said the event was a success.
“This was a widely supported event and I think we got the word out good about it,” Martin said. “I thought it was a lot of fun and the golfers told us it was fun playing at night.”
The team of Alton Starling, Danny Lee, Derek Rogers and Donnie Warrick walked away with the tournament victory. They won $150 each, but all four of the golfers donated their winnings back to the Leadership fundraising efforts.
All involved said it was a fun night and class president Justin Abercrombie and the rest of the class said they would like to thank all the sponsors for the tournament.
