Myrtle Jean Singleton Austin, age 63 of Banks, died Wednesday, October 29, 2008 at her home.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 31, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with the Reverends Lavon Singleton and Earl Oaks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation is Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy. There will be a 30 minute Lie-In-State at the church prior to the service.
She is survived by: her children William Kent Austin and Jennifer (Dallas) Redmon, Her sisters Louise Culpepper, Sybil (Farris) Singleton, a brother Dennis (Lanette) Singleton, her Grandchildren Kimberly Austin, Megan Redmon, William Dallas Redmon, Stephanie Redmon, Gracie Austin, and Mary Hanna, Her nieces and nephews Lynn Kirkland, Melissa Sheppard, Marie Jordan, Lavon Singleton, Scott Singleton and Dale Singleton.
She was preceded in death by: Her husband William Austin, a son Keith Austin, Her parents Hubert and Josephine Singleton and two Brothers Douglas and Donald Singleton.
