Make sure you vote

To the Editor,

I fully supported the Iraq War when it began. However, over these past years I have began to have reservations about it. Despite this I fully support our American men and women who are serving in the military. God bless them in what they do. I am hoping that history will be kinder to George Bush than the general climate is at this time. I believe that there is a great deal going on in this country and the world that we do not need to know about. Certainly the media does not need to know all the secret talks that go on behind the doors of the White House and the Pentagon. There has to be secrecy. Remember the last Iraq war and how the CNN coverage hurt our troops? Prince Harry had to return to England months ago after secretly serving in the middle east.

Why did the media feel the need to track him down and endanger those troops with him? When FDR was president the media respected his privacy regarding his Polio. Today there is nothing that cannot be flashed across the TV screen. In two weeks we will go to the polls to elect a new president. My choice is McCain. I do not like everything about McCain, but I feel he is a better choice than Obama. I choose who I vote for according to who I think is best for the job, not according to the party they are in. Whether you vote for McCain or Obama, make sure that you vote! It is a right that many people died and suffered for us to have.
