Dorothy Mobley, 64, of Troy, died Thursday, Oct. 23 at her residence.
Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy. She will lie in state at the funeral home from 1:30-2:00 P.M. thirty minutes prior to the service.
The Rev. Sharon Kirkland will officiate. Burial will follow at Union Hill Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.
Visitation will be 6-8 P.M. Friday, October 24, 2008 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
Ms. Mobley was born July 24, 1944 in Bullock County Alabama. Her parents were Lucius Martin and Juanita Bassett Martin.
She retired from a career as a seamstress in clothing manufacturing industry.
She was preceded in death by 2 children, Katrina Mobley and Christopher Mobley, parents, Lucius and Juanita Bassett Martin, 2 brothers, John Wesley Martin and Roy Martin.
Survivors include husband: Jerry Mobley, Troy; 4 sisters and brothers-in-law: Ruth and Hubert Whatley, Dothan; Laura and Mark O’Dell, Modesto, California; Carol Scarbrough and Margaret Ham both of Troy; sister-in-law: Helen Martin, Pike Creek, Texas and several loving nieces and nephews.
