Audrey Roten, 92, of Troy, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at Troy Regional Medical Center.
Services were held 2 p.m. Saturday, October 11, 2008 at Skeen Funeral Home, Troy with Dr. Mallone Chandler officiating. She laid in state from 1-2 P.M. at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Visitation was 6-8 P.M. Friday, October 10, 2008 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
Ms. Roten was born June 19, 1916 in Coffee County, Ala. Her parents were William Ellis and Lizzie Grimes Ellis. She retired from a career as a seamstress in the manufacturing industry.
She was preceded in death by parents; two husbands, Cary Edgar Roten and Alfee Flowers; sisters, Pearl Mehaffey and Leoma Bundy Green. Survivors include: son: Jason Slawson, Luverne, AL; 2 nephews: Junior Mehaffey, Troy; A.D. Mehaffey, Cross City, FL; 2 nieces: Mary Roten, Troy; Mae Bundy, Banks; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Gabriel Liles, John Roten, David Mehaffey, Dale Mehaffey, Johnny Bundy and Ernie Ray Keel.
