A 15-year-old boy has been taken into custody for allegedly robbing the Beeline gas station on U.S. 231 North next to McDonald’s.
The juvenile was taken into custody Thursday for the armed robbery that allegedly occurred on Sept. 3, said Troy Police Chief Anthony Everage.
Around 1:30 a.m. that day a suspect entered the store and demanded money at gunpoint, and an undisclosed amount of cash was taken from the store, police said in a statement.
The suspect, described as a black male, took off on foot with the money, where he was last seen running toward the Hillside Trailer Park.
After following leads, the juvenile was taken into custody this week and the case filed with the Pike County Juvenile Court on Thursday.
According to Everage, the juvenile was held in the Troy Police Department short-term detention center.
The case remains under investigation by local police.
