USTA Qualifying day two results

Tuesday’s action narrowed the field of 32 to just eight players in the USTA Classic of Troy. One
of the biggest matches on Tuesday was Coco Vandeweghe knocking off
seventh-seeded Mallory Cecil in two sets. Vandeweghe pulled out the
victory 6-3, 6-4.
Other results from Tuesday are as follows:
Fourth-seeded Maria Mokh defeated Gabriela Dabrowski 6-3, 5-7, 6-1.
Fifth-seeded Mirjana Lucic defeated Sofia Melikishvili 6-1, 6-3.
Third-seeded Gabriela Paz defeated Troy University’s 6-1, 6-4.
Sixth-seeded Natalia Ryzhonkova defeated Brooke Bolender 3-6, 6-2, 6-4.
Second-seeded Petra Rampre defeated Stephanie Roy 6-3, 6-3.
Megan Moulton-Levy defeated Allie Will 5-7, 7-6(9), 7-5.
Elizabeth Lumpkin defeated Chieh-Yu Hsu 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-2.
The winners will face each other at 10 a.m. at the Lunsford Tennis
Center for the final four spots in the main draw.
Vandeweghe will face Monk. Paz will face Lucic. Rampre will face
Ryzhonkova. Lumpkin will face Moulton-Levy.
The main draw matches begin after the qualifying matches wrap-up.
The four qualifying winners will play their first match of the main
draw on Wednesday.
