Bob Barr is also on the ballot

Dead Editor:

As I see it, Obama and McCain represent the same old big-government politics of the past.  Obama has proposed more than $1 Trillion in new government spending over the next decade.  McCain isn’t much better.  I am sure that both would raise taxes on everyone to pay for their spending sprees.

Bob Barr makes no promises of new government programs and more spending.  He knows that our government can’t solve every problem with more money.  I’m voting for Bob Barr.

Also, the recent re-authorization of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) is of great concern to me.  Pushed by the Bush administration as a tool in the so-called “war on terrorism,” FISA is just one more way that our government can spy on you and me.  In the race for President, BOTH McCain and Obama voted for FISA.  That’s very disappointing.   Only Presidential candidate Bob Barr spoke out against FISA.

I’m fed up with the onslaught of negative television ads that have been polluting the airways of the past few days.  I expect we will see even more between now and November 4.   Why can’t the politicians just tell us what they are going to do for us?

Both McCain and Obama are slinging mud like there is no tomorrow.  Neither is focusing on solutions to the problems we face.  Thankfully, there is a choice.  Former Georgia Congressman Bob Barr is also on the ballot and he’s won my support.  Bob Barr has a record of integrity and accomplishment and his campaign is running on the issues.   Bob tells us in great detail of his plans for dealing with our nation’s energy needs, the war in Iraq, our economy and so many, many more.

I believe if every voter would just spend 10 minutes to get to know Bob Barr, they would join me in supporting him.
