Janey Gorman Butler
Janey Gorman Butler passed away on July 24, 2007 in Marietta, GA from complications from a kidney infection and pneumonia.
Mrs. Butler was born in Troy on October 20, 1934 to Ruben and Oris Gorman.
Mrs. Butler is survived by her two brothers, Frank (Booster) Gorman and Ronald (Billy) Gorman, both of Troy, AL; and her daughter Janey Wiggins and son Ron Wiggins, both of Marietta, GA.
Services for Mrs. Butler will be held in Troy, AL at a future time.

Jean Baxter
Mrs. Jean Baxter, age 80, of League City, Texas, formerly of Troy, passed away Monday, August 27, 2007 in a Houston, Texas hospital.
Funeral services will be held for Mrs. Baxter at 2 p.m., Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Louisville Baptist Church in Louisville. Reverend R.C. Belcher and Reverend Robert Baker will officiate. Special music will be provided by Marilyn Bennett. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in
Pea River Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Clio with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing._Pallbearers will include Michael Kabboord, Daniel Kabboord, Jason Baxter, Kevin Baxter, Richard Baxter, Jr. and Jeffery Baxter.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Donna Baxter of League City, Texas, Richard and Sharon Baxter of Canton, Michigan and Bruce and Cheryl Baxter of Deer Park, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Dorothy Canant of Birmingham; sister and brother-in-law, Georgia and Charlie Parker of Louisville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; nieces, Donna and Larry Harrison of Louisville, Diane Jones and Jelane and Charles Price of Clio; nephews, David Canant of Birmingham and Randy Canant of Birmingham.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Amuel Berry Canant and Haullic Frances Bounds; husband, Clyde Baxter and a brother Buren Canant.
