Gary Oneal Sutton

Gary Oneal Sutton, 49, of Ariton, died in Brundidge Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2007.

Visitation was held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Thursday, Aug. 9, 2007, from 6 until 8 p.m.

Graveside services will be held at Elam Baptist Church Cemetery in Elamville on Friday, Aug. 10, 2007, at 10 a.m.

Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

Mr. Sutton is survived by his daughter, Garah Sutton of Brundidge; mother, Patsy H. Sutton of Brundidge; brother and sister-in-law, Hill and Lynn Sutton of Brundidge; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hildredge Oneal Sutton; brother, Greg Sutton; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James A. Howell, and Mr. and Mrs. M.M. Sutton.

John Cecil Newman

John Cecil Newman, 79, of Phenix City, died at Parkwood Health Care on Aug. 7, 2007.

He was born in Troy on Jan. 31, 1928, to the late John Newman and Bell Mancel Newman.

Surviving are his son, Jerry Lee Dewberry; daughter, Gerlyn Foster; brother, Rufus Newman; grandchildren, Renee Dewberry, Phillip Dewberry, Scott Dewberry, Greg Foster, Chad Foster and Andy Foster; nine great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at noon Saturday at the Higgins Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home at 1 Bullsboro Dr,. Newnan, Ga.

Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until service time on Saturday.
