Mary Siler
Funeral services for Mary Siler were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Goshen with the Rev. Raymond Franking officiating.
Burial was in the Old Mt. Zion Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.
Mrs. Siler was born Feb. 24, 1951, in Pike County to Archie Rouse and Lille Belle Rouse.
She received Christ under the leadership of Bishop W.E. Davis at the Old Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church on March 7, 1993. She later moved her membership to Cathedral of Restoration of Montgomery, where she served until she died. As a child, she attended Pike County public schools.
She met and married the late Willie James Siler on April 17, 1986, and had three children.
She died on Wednesday, June 20, 2007, at her home in Troy.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie Rouse and Lillie Bell Rouse; her husband, Willie James Siler; one son, Darrick D. Siler; one sister, Dora Rouse; one brother, C.J. Rouse; her mother-in-law, Gussie Mae Siler; and her father-in-law, Bud Siler.
She is survived by two sons, Donald (Diana M.) Siler and Christopher (Yashica) Siler, both of Troy; two sisters, Lena Mae Pugh of Tampa, Fla., and Louise Toney of Troy; two brothers, Otis Rouse and Edward Rouse, both of Troy; her grandchildren, Lakeyvia “Mabelle” Siler, Lafayedra “NeNe” Siler, Dontavious “Taye” Youngblood, Keyanna “KeKe” Siler, Chashad Baker, Sharlotte Siler and Christopher “C.J.” Siler; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers are members and friends of the family. Honorary pallbearers and flowers bearers are friends of the family.
