William O. Stringer

Funeral services for William O. Stringer, 66, who died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at Baptist South Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at New Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. J.N. Flowers officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery, with Harrison Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Sarah Kate Tatum

Sarah Kate Tatum, a precious child of God, passed away May 10, 2007.

Graveside services were held Saturday, May 19, in Greenwood Cemetery.

Sarah Kate is survived by her parents, Frazier and Leslie Tatum, her twin sister, Ella Jane Tatum, grandparents Wayne and Charlotte Tatum, Jane Segars, great-grandparents Emmett and Jimmie Owens and her aunts and uncles John Paul Senn, Stacy Senn and Jennifer Tatum.

Bessie Smith Ward

Funeral services for Bessie Smith Ward, 79, of Elba, who died Thursday, May 24, 2007, at her home in Elba, were at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hayes Funeral Home with the Rev. David Richburg officiating.

Burial followed in the White Water Baptist Church Cemetery in Elba.

Visitation was from 1 until 3 p.m. Saturday at Hayes Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Fannie Lou Smith; her husband, Johnnie Ward; three brothers; and one sister.

Survivors include son, Don Wambles of Troy; daughter-in-law, Linda Wambles of Troy; son, Doug Wambles of Elba; granddaughter, Ashley Kilcrease of Troy; grandson-in-law, Steven Kilcrease of Troy; grandson, Josh Wambles of Troy; granddaughter-in-law, Kristy Wambles of Troy; great-granddaughter, Anna Kilcrease of Troy; sister, Ventellie Corbitt of Elba; brother, Hugo Smith of Elba; brother, Arthur D. Smith of Elba; brother, Walter Smith of Bay Minette. Mrs.Ward also is survived by four nieces and five nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

Hayes Funeral Home of Elba is serving the Ward family.

Limas Habersham Jr.

Funeral services for Limas Habersham Jr. will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Greenwood Cemetery in Brunswick, Ga.

Visitation was at 7 p.m. Friday at George F. Grubbs Funeral Home in Troy.

Mr. Habersham was the third child of the late Limaas Habersham Sr. and the late Christeen Watson. He was

born in Mount Pleasant, Ga., on Feb. 11, 1938.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Mary B. Lewis and Gertrude Hopkins; and one brother, Joseph Smith.

He is survived by his companion, Sarah Cummings; one son, Earl West of Gardi, Ga.; one daugher, Clorinda R. Singleton (Eddie) of Brunswick, Ga.; three foster daughters, Donna Cummings, Jessica Cummings and Sandra Boswell, all of Troy; one sister, Henrietta Brown; grandchildren, Ebonee Robinson of Atlanta, Lester Austell Jr. of Norfolk, Va., Shajuana Bean of Troy and Tebin Brockton of Troy; one foster granddaughter, Amiyah Blair; one foster grandson, Der' Taytavis Canty of Troy; great-grandchildren, Kalil Austell and Zya Austell of Atlanta and Brunswick, Ga., respectively; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.

Pallbearers, honorary pallbearers and flower bearers are friends of the family.

Travel arrangements and prepreparations are being handled by Grubbs Funeral Home of Troy. Final arrangements and presentation is being handled by Brunswick Funeral Home in Brunswick, Ga.

James Nello Money

Funeral services for James Nello Money, who died on Monday, May 21, 2007, at his home, were at 1 p.m. Saturday at Outreach Endtime Deliverance Church with the Rev. Henry Wilson officiating.

Burial will be in Carroll Street Cemetery with George F. Grubbs Funeral Home directing.

Mr. Money was the second child of 14 born to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Money Sr.

He grew up attending Bethel Baptist Church of Troy and later attended Churches of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Money Sr.; mother, Mozell Money; daughter, Monique C. Money-Waxton; and two baby brothers.

His survivors include his son, Keith A. Money; grandson, Deshaun Bass of Gautier, Miss.; four brothers, Joseph Money Jr. (Mary Ann) of Troy, John K. Money (Rebecca) of Troy, Bobby Money (Johnnie Mae) of Troy, and Richard Money of Pascagoula, Miss.; seven sisters, Mamie Halthon (Oliver) of Pascagoula, Miss., Margeen McInnis (Arthur) of Moss Point, Miss., Emma N. Edmonds of Moss Point, Miss., Gloria A. Eskridge (Nathan) of Pascagoula, Miss., Armilla Collins (John) of Gautier, Miss., Ethel M. Mahone of Troy, Lillie Robinson (Charlie) of Montgomery; 15 nephews; 12 nieces; two aunts, Willie Mae Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Annie Ruth Taylor of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and devoted friends.

James served in the United States Army and was awarded an honorable discharge on June 22, 1954.

Much of his adult life, he lived in Moss Point, Miss. He retired from International Paper Company where he was a very dedicated employee. He also was known as an avid gardener.

The Rev. William Royce Richards

The Rev. William Royce Richards, 74, of Troy, died Wednesday, May 23, 2007.

Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday at Dillard Funeral Home of Troy.

The funeral service was at 11 a.m. Saturday at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Dr. Malone Chandler, Dr. Chuck Blair, Dr. Vickie Blair, Mr. Gregg Sprinkle and the Rev. Jim Richards officiating.

Burial followed at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Brundidge.

The family requests that memorials be made to Lighthouse Hospice, Montgomery Cancer Center or Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.

The pallbearers were Mark Jordan, Mike Jordan, Donnie Richards, Hamilton Stubbs, Charles Boswell and Donald Jordan.

Honorary pallbearers were all pastors and Lester Lambert.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ingrid Richards of Troy; two children, Janice (Gregg) Sprinkle of Troy and Ann (Chuck) Mayhall of Centre; grandchildren, Cameron Luker, Zach Sprinkle, Gabe Sprinkle, Dakota Sprinkle, Endsley McLeod, Autumn Mayhall and Amber Mayhall; sisters, Edna Nolin and Doris Hocutt; brothers, Rex (Shirley) Richards and Jim Richards; and sister-in-law, Katherine Richards.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Juanita Richards; sister, Maurine Berry; brother, Bill Richards; brothers-in-law, John Nolin and William Hocutt; sister-in-law, Pam Richards; and brother-in-law, Woodrow Berry.

Shelby Ogelsby

Mr. Shelby Oglesby, 85, a resident of Brundidge, died Saturday, May 26, 2007.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, May 27, 2007 at 4 pm at St. John's Baptist Church with the Reverend Mack King and the Reverend Kenny Horne officiating.

Interment will follow in the St. John's Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

Visitation will be held Sunday, May 27, 2007 from 3 p.m. until 4 p.m. at St. John's Baptist Church.

Survivors include: daughter, Oma Jean Galloway of Brundidge, four sons; Gene and Amanda Mullins of Florida, Glen Mullins of Florida, Tommy J. Sheffield of Florida, Andy and Cathy Sheffield of Brundidge; Sister, Maude Sheffield of Brundidge, Brother, Alto Oglesby of Greenville, Grandchildren, Angie and Bart Ellis of Brundidge, Vick Sheffield of Florida, Amy and Terrell Haddock of Pace, Florida, Andrea and Angus Alverson of Brundidge, Josh and Amber Sheffield of Florida, Amanda and Aaron Rascoe of Enterprise, AL, Josh Mullins, 8 Great-Grandchildren.

Mr. Oglesby was preceded in death by his wife Allie Ruth Oglesby.

Memorial donations may be made to the St. John's Cemetery Fund.
