Esther Reddoch Jones
Esther Reddoch Jones was born in Troy, the fourth child of James Reddoch and Mary Belle Reddoch on June 16, 1928.
She completed Academy Street High School and joined Oak Grove Baptist Church where she received Christ at an early age.
Esther spent the early part of her life in California, where she attended nursing school. She retired from Parkview Hospital, Nashville, Tenn., in June 1990 and moved back to Troy to enjoy her retirement years. She worked many years as a nurse's aid at the old Edge Hospital.
Esther was married to Jerry Jones Jr. in August 1957, and they had two sons.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Jones Jr.; her parents, James Reddoch and Mary Belle Reddoch; and her three brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jones and Michael Jones; two daughter-in-laws, Carla Jones and Shelia Jones; four grandchildren; five sisters; four sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; and a host of nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
J.C. Grimes
J.C. Grimes, age 74 was born January 11, 1933 in Rose Hill. He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years,Vurnia D. Grimes and his parents, Vonnie and Min Grimes of Rose Hill.
He owned and operated Grimes Jewelry and Watch Repair for 35 years. He was a 100% Disabled Veteran of the Korean War.
He is the father of Diane LaFountaine of China Grove and the grandfather of Jeramy Nichols of Goshen.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 7, 2007 at White Chapel Greenwood Funeral Home in Montgomery located on Lincoln Road.
Visitation at the funeral home will be from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. Sunday, May 6 at the funeral home.
Military honors provided by Charlie's Angel of Troy.
Randolph Ercell Jones
Graveside services for Randolph Ercell Jones, 89, of Troy, who died in Pennsylvania Monday, April 30, 2007, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dr. Ellis Bush officiating.
Visitation will from 9 until 9:45 a.m. Tuesday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Mr. Jones is survived by his son, James R. Jones of Troy; granddaughters, Pamela Manlin of Penn Valley, Penn., and Peggy Thompson of Panama City, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Leslie Thompson of Panama City, Fla., Kim Thompson of Panama City, Fla., and Zachary Manlin of Penn Valley, Penn.; brother, Joseph Jones of Troy; sister, Agnes Jones of Atlanta, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials may be made to First Baptist Church or to the American Cancer Society.
