James W. &#8220Pete” Cobb

Funeral services for James W. &#8220Pete” Cobb, 73, of Luverne, who died Tuesday, May 1, 2007, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with the Rev. Daniel Marler and the Rev. Calvin Faircloth officiating.

Interment will follow in Good News Cemetery in Rose Hill with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Cobb served as an Alabama State Trooper from 1963 until his retirement in 1988.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen Howell Cobb. Survivors include three children, Debbie (Frankie) Christian of Brantley, Dale (Kelly) Cobb of Elba and Ronnie (Kathy) Cobb of Highland Home; seven grandchildren, Paul Christian of Brantley, Blake and Brady Cobb of Elba and Tommy, Brittany, Tiffany and Brandon Cobb of Highland Home; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Carswell of Riverview, Fla., and Pauline (John) Williamson of Repton; and three brothers, Jerry (Elaine) Cobb of Plant City, Fla., Bill (Dot) Cobb

and Leo (Ginger) Cobb, both of Troy.

Alabama State Troopers will serve as pallbearers.

Renee Hill Forehand

Funeral services for Renee Hill Forehand, 43, of Elba, who died at Enterprise Medical Center on Sunday, April 29, 2007, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. Louie Reynolds officiating.

Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery on Highway 87.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Carl Bascom McLeod.

She is survived by her husband, Greg Forehand of Elba; children, Benjamin (Jennifer) Hill of Troy and Timothy Hill of Elba; mother, June McLeod of Troy; three brothers, Randall McLeod of Troy, Kenneth McLeod of Troy and Harold McLeod of Troy; four sisters, Cheryl Little of Troy, Shelia (Donnie) Hardy of Elba, Sharon Moncreif of Henderson and Angela (Mickey) Napper of Jack; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Todd Jackson Lanham, Joshua Shane Wallar, Tim Davis, Walter Holley, William Holley and Heath Williamson.

Ryan Chadric Nichols

Funeral services for Ryan Chadric Nichols, 26, who died suddenly on April 28, 2007, at his home in Pensacola, Fla., will be at 4 p.m. on Thursday at Rose Lawn Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Clayton officiating.

Burial will follow at Rose Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ryan grew up in Gulf Breeze, Fla., where he attended school. He worked for GNC and Direct USA but was currently employed as a supervisor for Nichols Enterprises LLC.

He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Fry; his paternal grandparents, Chad and Daphene Nichols, and uncle, Buff Nichols.

He is survived by his parents, Don (Nick) and Sonja Nichols; his sister, Natasha Nichols; and brother, Michael Christian Nichols (Anastasia); grandparents Gene and Brenda Fry; aunt, Vanessa Spahn (John); great-uncle Glen Fry (Donna); uncle, Greg Nichols (Arlene); and cousins Michael Nichols (Megan) and Charles Nichols; and uncle, Jeff Nichols; aunt, Lynn Stewart (Mike); aunt, Helen (Doug); cousin, Brandy Nichols; cousin, Ben Hutson; aunt, Stacy Allison (Kyle); Sean Fry (Jessie); and a host of friends and other family members.
