Charles Edward Pyles

Funeral services for Charles Edward Pyles, 84, of Troy, who died Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2007, at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Neal Jackson and the Rev. Don Grantham officiating.

Burial will follow at Center Ridge Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

His wife, Louise Pyles; a son, Tim Pyles; and a grandson, Mark Pyles, preceded him in death.

He is survived by a daughter, Carolyn (J.C.) Senn of Opelika; two sons, Tommy (Vickie) Pyles of Manchester, Ga., and Tony (Vickie) Pyles of Opelika; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Rosa Mae Botts

Funeral services for Rosa Mae Botts, 95, wife of the late Fred Botts of Banks, who died Monday, Jan. 8, 2007, at Extendicare Health Center in Dothan, will be at 2 p.m. today at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Freddie Avant officiating.

Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. until 2 p.m. at the chapel prior to the service.

Mrs. Botts was born Nov. 29, 1911, in Pike County.

Mrs. Botts' six children are Corene Kolman of Montgomery, the late Julian F. Botts of Troy, Janice Jenkins of Midland City, Mervin Botts of Columbus, Ga., the late Wade F. Botts of Atlanta, Ga., and Linda Herbert of Fripp Island, S.C.

Her two sisters are Naomi Hatfield of Troy and the late Jewel Brown of Union Springs. Her three brothers are the late Leotha Long of Union Springs, Otis Long of Union Springs and John Long of Banks. She also has 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lloyd Long, Terry Long, Ervin Brown, Freddie Hegler, Gene Hegler and Ricky Garrett.

Mrs. Botts was a member of Primitive Baptist Church.

Memorials should be made to American Heart Association. The family extends its gratitude to Extendicare and Wiregrass Hospice for their exceptional care given to their mother.

Delphine &#8220Wilson” Wood

Services for Delphine &#8220Wilson” Wood, 90, of Lincoln, who died Jan. 8, 2007, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Kilgroe Chapel with the Revs. Henry Miller and Larry Segers officiating.

Burial will be in Valley Hill Memorial under the direction of Kilgroe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband, Garfield K. Wood; daughter, Judith Ann (Joe) Davis; two sisters, Claudine Mann and Burnease Keithier; three grandchildren, John Christopher Giangrosso, Lisa E. Cochran and James Darren Giangrosso; and five great-grandchildren.
