Margaret Downer Pace Farmer

Funeral services for Margaret Downer Pace Farmer, 94, of Troy, who died Friday, Jan. 19, 2007, at her home will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Alan McBride officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Farmer is survived by three daughters, Hollinger Farmer Barnard of Birmingham, Julia Farmer (Bob) Scruggs of Montgomery and Karen Adams (Boyce) Farmer-Wanamaker of Columbia, Tenn; one son, John Curren

(Jeanette) Farmer of Knoxville, Tenn.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Curren Adams Farmer, and her parents, Mathew Downer Pace and Sarah Sinclair Collier Pace.

Pallbearers will be Charles Edward Farmer, Joshua Bates Barnard, William Christopher Patterson, Jennifer Nix Patterson, Donald Eugene Morrow, Robert Nealy Scruggs and Boyce Preston Wanamaker. Honorary Pallbearers will be Leola Glasco, Jean Thompson, Lisa Orum, Amy McMillan and Carrie Ethridge.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Southern Care Hospice, 5 N. Pointe Parkway, Suite D/E, Enterprise, AL 36330 or The Troy Public Library, 300 N. Three Notch St., Troy, AL 36081.

Sara Evelyn Borom

Funeral services for Sara Evelyn Borom, 74, of Troy, who died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2007, in Troy, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sara Ann Grant; parents, Arthur and Euna V. Brown; and a brother, James Arthur Brown.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Larry and Donna Grant of Troy and Lynn and Travis Jacques of Troy; a son-in-law and his wife, Ray and Gail Grant of Troy; great-grandchildren, Layton and Leah Grant of Troy, Jordan Jacques

of Troy, T.J. Jacques of Camp Johnson, N.C., Kala and Lee Copeland of Needham and Kristian Jacques of Hope Hull; and a sister-in-law, Willie Grace Brown.

Pallbearers will be Layton Grant, TJ Jacques, Steve Allen, Curt Pinckard, Joe Bob Allen and Steve Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff of Wiregrass Hospice, Dr. Ben Smith, Monty Green and Sam Brown.
