Donald William Zingre

A memorial service for Donald William Zingre, 35, of Troy, who died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Troy, will be at 6 p.m. Saturday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. James Walter Suermann officiating.

Visitation will be from 5 until 6 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Zingre is survived by his mother, Mary Ann Banks of Mo.; his father, Donald K. Zingre (Rita) of St. Pete, Fla.; three sisters, Lynn (Eugene) Wentworth of Troy, Renee (Johnny) French of Largo, Fla., and Loretta Crisp of Troy; three brothers, Michael (Cara) Zingre of Largo, Fla., Stephen (Janice) Zingre of Essick, Mo., and Alan (Penny) Zingre of Marshall, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial should be made to Shriners Children's Hospital or to the UAB Pediatrics Division of Hematology/Oncology Clinic, 1600 7th Ave. South, ACC 512, Birmingham, AL 35233, Attention: Brenda Johes or Dr. Howard.

Jo Ann Russell

Graveside services for Jo Ann Russell, 63, of Palm Harbor, Fla., who died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2006, in Florida will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Sandfield Cemetery with the Rev. Ray Stinson officiating.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lela V. Dawkins Russell.

She is survived by her first cousin, Jean Hoffman of Davenport, Fla., and many other cousins.

Edna Ethma Anderson Connell

Services for Edna Ethma Anderson Connell, 84, of Brundidge, who died at Troy Health and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Bobby Hood and the Rev. Rex Godwin officiating.

Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 9 until 10 a.m. Saturday at Salem Baptist Church.

Mrs. Connell was an active member of Salem Baptist Church for more than 50 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank G. Connell; sons, Tommy and Charles Connell; brothers, Harold Anderson, Max Anderson and Thomas Anderson; parents, James Ivey and Myrtie Goodson Anderson; brothers-in-law, Dr. J.C. Brantley and Lloyde Williams.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kenny (June) Connell of Townsend, Tenn.; daughter-in-law, Rebecca Connell of Brundidge; grandchildren, Brandy Connell of Big Fork, Mt., Tom Connell of Brundidge and Melanie (Brian) Wilson of Birmingham; great grandchild, Patrick Wilson of Birmingham; brothers, Carvel (Evelyn) Anderson of Troy and Pat (Becky) Anderson of Troy; sisters, Nanette Williams of Springhill, Linda Brantley of Troy and Joyce (Randall) Senn of Childersburg; sisters-in-law, Frances Anderson of Brundidge and Gertrude Anderson of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews;

The pallbearers will be Jay Shirley, Ren Anderson, John Watkins, Trey Baggett, Regal Hamm, Greg Anderson, Joey Connell, and Carroll Connell. The honorary pallbearers are the Deacons of Salem Baptist Church.

Memorials may be made to Salem Baptist Church.

Earlie Mae Collins

Funeral services for Earlie Mae Collins, 83, of Troy, who died at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2006, will be at 4 p.m. Saturday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with the Rev. Otis Derrah officiating.

Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lee Collins, and a son, Jerry Collins.

Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and David Headley of Eclectic; a son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Janice Collins of Ft. Walton, Fla.; five granddaughters, Tonya (Steve) Petermann of Shalimar, Fla., Toni (Eric) Lee of Dallas, Texas, Kristen (Greg) Trotter of Eclectic, Ashley Collins of Millbrook, and Shanna (George) Davis of Cumberland Gap, Tenn., five great-grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to the American Heart Association or to Bush Memorial Baptist Church.

Johnnie Darby Jones

Services for Johnnie Darby Jones, 83, who died Dec. 26, 2006, at Capital Hill Nursing Home in Montgomery, will be at 1 p.m. at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Chatmon officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from noon until 5 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Jones was born Sept. 30, 1923, in Pike County. She was a member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, where she served on the Trustee Board for many years until her health failed. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim Darby and Mary &uot;Babe&uot; Darby.

Survivors include several nieces, nephews, great nieces, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.

Floral bearers will be her nieces and great nieces.
