L. Milton Cutchen

A memorial service for Dr. L. Milton Cutchen, 74, of Troy, who died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006, at his home will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Mr. Cutchen's sons, Daniel and David, will officiate at the service.

He is survived by his wife, Dovie Cutchen of Troy; two sons, Daniel Milton (Joy) Cutchen of Dallas, Texas, and David Newton (Judy) Cutchen of Birmingham; grandchildren, Stephen Cutchen, Mathew Cutchen and Abigail Cutchen; sister, Peggy McCord.

Dr. Cutchen was raised in the Kinsey Community.

He graduated from Dothan High School and

Asbury College and Seminary. He served as a Methodist minister in the Wiregrass area for many years. He also served as a minister in Mobile, where he founded and administered the Christian School. He later served as pastor at the First Presbyterian Church in Greenville and the First Presbyterian Church in Troy.

Phillip Folmar

Funeral services for James Phillip Folmar, 84, who died at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne on Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Elam Primitive Baptist Church with the Rev. David Zorn and the Rev. Max Briggs officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Elam Primitive Baptist Church from 10-11 a.m. Thursday. Mr. Folmar is survived by a sister, Louise (Max) Briggs of Talladega; a brother, Walter (Enid) Folmar of Glenwood; sisters-in-law, Mildred R. Folmar of Dothan and Leila S. Folmar of Ozark; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials should be made to a favorite charity.

Herbert Paul Chancellor

A memorial service for Herbert Paul Chancellor, 67, of University Heights Road, who died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at St. Joseph Hospital, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Cullowhee Baptist Church with Dr. Jeffery Vickery and the Rev. Tonya Vickery officiating.

Graveside services will be held at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Gainer at 11 a.m. today with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing.

Visitation was held Tuesday at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.

A native of Montgomery, Mr. Chancellor had lived in Jackson County since 1969. He was 1966 graduate of Samford University in Birmingham. Mr. Chancellor was a pharmacist and had retired from Eckerd's. He was a member of Cullowhee Baptist Church, where he had served on several committees and as a deacon.

He was the son of the late Herbert Alto and Roma Hataway Chancellor.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Etheree Burkett Chancellor; two daughters, Amanda Carolina Ryan of Indianapolis and Cordelia Meyer of Cullowhee; one son, Herbert Charles Chancellor of Bloomington, Ind.; one sister, Mary Ann Eifert Brown of LaPine; six grandchildren, Shelby Ray M. Meyer, Emma Leigh Ryan, Bailey Jane and Maxwell James Ryan, Savannah Katherine Ryan and Atticus Chancellor Ryan.
