Elsie Mae Goolsby

Elsie Mae Goolsby, 88, of Pensacola, Florida, died in Pensacola Thursday, October 26, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, Alabama on Sunday, October 29, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. There will be a 1 hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Hephzibah Baptist Church in Troy on Monday, October 30, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Greg Aman and Dr. Don Hatcher officiating. Burial will be follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy. The family request that memorials be made to your favorite charity. The honorary pallbearers are members of Hephzibah Ladies Sunday School Class. Mrs. Goolsby is survived by her husband of 63 years, William Goolsby of Pensacola, Florida, Children, Betty Fulton of Pensacola, Florida and Ronnie (Brenda) Goolsby of Montgomery, Alabama, Grandchildren, Steve Fulton of Pensacola, Florida, Cindy Caldwell of Auburn, Alabama, Justin Goolsby of Duluth, Minnesota, and Heather Goolsby of Montgomery, Alabama, Great grandchildren, Danielle Goolsby and Ansley and Ava Caldwell, Numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eli Alonza and Lizzie Huron Mcpherson, sisters, Sara Mcpherson Andress and Gladys Mcpherson, brothers, James Mcpherson and Eli and Grady Mcpherson.

A memorial service for James R. Green, 80, of Troy who died Thursday, October 26, 2006 at Troy Health and Rehab will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday October, 31 at Dobo's Tabernacle Church in Banks with Rev. Earl Oakes officiating.

Burial will be in Sandfield Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the church.

Mr. Green was born July 14, 1926 in Pike County. He worked in the pulpwood industry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Murphy Noah Green and Mattie Ruth Dunn Green and a brother, Dewey F. Green.

Survivors include a daughter, Amanda Green of Troy; 2 brothers, William N. &#8220Bill” Green of Eufaula and Murphy Delora Green of Ebenezer; sister, Frances Beasley of Troy and nieces and nephews.
