Lonnie V. “Bud” Leverette
Lonnie V. “Bud” Leverette, 83, of Luverne died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2006, at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Rev. William Leverett officiating.
Burial will follow at Henderson Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006, at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy.
Leverette was born on July 17, 1923, in Pike County. He was a painter in the construction industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Manning Leverett and Callie Ida Miller Leverett.
Survivors include: his wife Elizabeth Leverette, Luverne;
sister, Hazel Lee, Montgomery; four daughters, Gayle Rodgers, New Brockton; Cindy Leddon Dothan, Joann Holley, Luverne; and Brenda Wood, Bristol, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two beloved sisters-in-law, Ruby Leverett, Henderson and Gladys Leverett, Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Bobby Leverett, Larry Leverett, Tony Leverett, Jake Dominach, Jimmy Connell and James Kendrick.
