Funeral services for Mattie Jean Harvis were held on Saturday, August 19, 2006 at 2:30 p.m. at Clay Hill Baptist Church in Glenwood, Alabama with Rev. Barkley officiating.

Interment was at Clay Hill Church Cemetery under the professional & distinguished direction of George F. Grubbs Funeral Home

The lovely Mattie Jean Harvis of Henderson Trailer Park, Goshen, AL, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2006, from an illness that she could not longer fight.

God took on this battle for her so she wouldn’t have to suffer anymore, and she will finally get the peace that we all shall seek someday.

She was a wonderful daughter, a loving mother, a great sister, and a nice friend to have.

She was loved so dearly and will truly be missed by all.

Mattie was born November 13, 1973 in Troy, AL to her mother, Mary Harvis, Goshen, AL; and her father, Willie L. Harvis, Panama City, FL; that she leaves behind with a stepfather, Sandy Smith, Goshen, AL; a loved one, Herbert Pollard; two beautiful children, one daughter, Juanita N. Pollard, 8 years old, and one son, Antrane J. Pollard, 6 years old, all of Goshen, AL; two sisters, Denise Harvis, Troy, AL; and Annie (Jimmy) Woods, Goshen, AL; three brothers: Donnie Harvis, James Harvis, and Willie F. Harvis, all of Troy, AL; two special friends, Valenthia Shepherd and Punkin; and many other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Henrey Barr, Jr., Willie Barr, Jr., Tyrone Brunson, Charles Hill, Willie McMillian & Alvin Owen

Flower bearers were Lordorise Barr, Mae Cathy Barr, Andrea Finney, Mabel Barr Gouse, Mareia Martez & Catherine Barr Scott

Funeral Services for Mrs. Betty Mills will be held on Wednesday August 23, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. E.S.T. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tony Mills and Rev. LLoyd Hodges officiating.

Internment will follow at Melrose Hills Memorial Park in Villa Rica, Ga.
