Thelma M. Senn

Thelma M. Senn, age 87, passed on July 16, 2006.

She was born and raised in Pike Co., Alabama and had been an Akron resident for 30 years.

After retiring from J.C. Penney Co., she and her husband returned to Alabama, where they were members of the Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ.

Preceded in death by parents, Rufus and Annie Mae Grissette; five brothers; one sister; and her husband, Charles Henderson Senn; she is survived by children, Ann Carter, Sandy (Pat) Carter, and Larry Senn; grandchildren, Jill Ridley, Lori (Wayne) VanRiper, Jennifer (Mickey) Paljich, Sean Senn, Kendra (Matt) Boulware, Mike (Shelley) Carter, Matthew and Jonathan Senn ; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Evelyn Bass, and Annie Ruth Richburg; sister-in-law, Vernell Grissette; numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held Friday, July 21, 2006 at 11:00 AM at Hamilton Crossroads Church of Christ with Minister Isaiah Freeman officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Thursday, July 20, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family suggests memorials to her church.
