Linzey age 87 of Troy Died Sunday at the Troy Regional Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 6, 2006 at 11:00 am at the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with Reverend Wayne Locklar Officiating; burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 from 6:00 until 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.

There Will also be a 30 Minute lie-in-State at the church prior to the service.

Survivors include: Son-In-Law Frank Gearhart of Lampasas, Texas; Her Children, Mona Sue (Konrad) Kohler of Atlanta, GA, Johnny Rex Lindsey of Phoenix, AZ, Tommy Jerry Linzey of Troy, Patricia Lane (Ron) Case of Troy, AL, Ted Eric Lindsey of Troy, AL, Terry Lynn Linzey of Phoenix, AZ, April Joy (Norman) Campbell of Troy, AL, Precious Arlene Sanchez of Lampasas, TX, and Charles Nicholas (Joni ) Linzey of Lampasas, TX; her sister, Willie

Lou Little of Prattville, AL; her Brother T.J. Pedigo of Linden, AL; 18 Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; 3 Great Great Grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, and many many Loving Friends.

She was Preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie B. Linzey, Sons Tony Ray Linzey and James Franklin Linzey, a daughter, Nancy Ann Gearhart and a Son-In-Law Robert Sanchez.

Active Pallbearers will be her grandsons; Mark Linzey, Joshua Linzey, Tyson Linzey, Jacob Linzey, Vernon Gearhart, John Gearhart, Sean Sanchez, and Nicholas Sanchez.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Louis Brown, J.C. Parent, Alan Pennington, Jeff Kervin, Michael Bundy, Jonathon Bundy, Bo Walker and Kevin Walker.

Frank Rushing

Mr. Frank Rushing age 73, of Troy, Died Saturday, at his home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, July 5, 2006 at 11:00 am from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy, with the Reverend Mack Lowery officiating, Burial will follow at the Hales Chapel Cemetery Dillard Funeral home of Troy Directing.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 4, 2006 from 6pm until 9pm at the Funeral Home.

He is Survived by his Wife Elma Rushing of Troy, 2 Daughters and Sons-In-Law Diane and Thomas Calhoun of Troy, and Tammy and Anthony Williams of Double Oak, TX.

Charles and Brenda Meeks of Troy, Keith and Carolyn Meeks of Troy and Donnie Meeks of Tallahassee. His Grandchildren: Rickey Meeks, Ashley Calhoun, Stephanie Nagpal, Michelle Childree, Angela Meeks, Zack and Alex Williams and a Great Granddaughter Lauren Meeks. 2 Sisters and a Brother-In-Law Mary and Grady Motes and Emily Redmon.

2 Brothers and a Sister-in-Law John Henry and Rose Rushing and Reynolds Rushing.

His Nephews will serve as Active Pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Marvin Jackson, Pee Wee Meeks and his Domino Club.

Memorials May be made to the American Heart Association.

Charlotte Ward Carpenter

Memorial services for Charlotte Ward Carpenter, 66, of Chattanooga, Tenn., who died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at her home, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Chattanooga, with the Revs. Dallas Beck, Barry Kidwell and Ron Goodman officiating.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 pm. Sunday at the funeral home.

A graveside memorial service will e held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 29, at Griffin Cemetery in Troy.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in Troy, the daughter of Willie Lane and Lena Floyd Ward. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School and a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was long-affiliated with Amateur Softball. She was an avid bowler and had served in several leagues. She had been the manager of Hickory Creek Town homes for the past six years.

She is survived by her sister and her husband, Shirley and Bob Brown of Chattanooga; a niece and her husband, Holly and Dewey Williams of Bartlesville, Okla.; three nephews, Drew and Darby Williams of Bartlesville, and Phillip (Pat) Vaughn of Northburg, N.J.; and a special longtime friend, Ruth Patterson of Chattanooga.
