Willie D. Davenport

Services for Willie D. Davenport, 84, of Troy who died Sunday, July 16, 2006 at Troy Health and Rehab will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 18 at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with Revs. Rudy Phillips, Earl Oakes and Thomas Roughton officiating.

He will lie-in-state from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. prior to the service.

Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Methodist Church Cemetery on Highway 29 North under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, July 17, at the funeral home.

Mr. Davenport was born January 8, 1922 in Alabama. He was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church in the Sandfield Community.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Smiley and May Mancil Davenport.

Survivors include his wife, Flossie W. Davenport; son and his wife, William &uot;Smiley&uot; and Donna Davenport; grandchildren, William &uot;Wes&uot; Davenport and Josh Davenport all of Troy; several nieces and 1 nephew.

Pallbearers will be Roy Wilson, George Brooks, Felix Whatley, Ed Whatley, Raymond Davenport and Christopher Brooks.

Clinton Roberts

Clinton Roberts, 75, of Troy, died Friday, July 14, 2006, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Serivices were Sunday, July 16, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy with the Minister Elisha Freeman and Minister Jon Hackett officiating.

Burial followed in Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy with Skeen Funeral Home of Troy directing.

He was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Alabama to the late Frank and Hattie Moore Roberts. He was an equipment operator for the Alabama State Highway Department.

Survivors include his wife, Christine Edwards Roberts; a son, Steve and Dorothy Roberts, a daughter, Diane Roberts Price and Pete Price; four grandsons, Greg Price, Steve Roberts, Jr., Jamie Price and Derrick Roberts, all of Troy; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Rex Roberts of Elba; two sisters, Eva Fralish of Brundidge and Katie Merle King of Millbrook.

The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society/Pike County Chapter, 206 Lamar St., Troy, Ala. 36081.
