Louise “Lucy” Earles Bassett
Louise “Lucy” Earles Bassett, 81, a resident of Stills X Roads, died on July 10, 2006
in a Montgomery Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Gray Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Matt Helms and Rev. Donnie Earles officiating.
Burial will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.
Mrs. Bassett was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Bassett and a son, Floyd Bassett.
She is survived by two sons, Morris (Darlene) Bassett of Cullman and Thurmond Bassett of Stills X Roads; three daughters, Shirlene (Elias) Rotton of Stills X Roads, Julia (Tim) Hubbard of Almeria Community and Linda) Spooky) May of Almeria Community; nine grandchildren, Connie Golden, Vickie Cook, Mark Bassett, David May, Brad May, Randall Hubbard, Felicia Austin, Landon Bassett and Jack Bassett; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, John Earles, Richard Earles and Billy Earles; sister, Alice Lindsey. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
A visitation will be held Thursday at Gray Funeral Home from 9:30 a.m. until service time. The family will also receive friends and relatives at her home.

Ms. Rita H. “ Pat “ Brantley, 51, a resident of Luverne died Wednesday July 12, 2006. Funeral services will be 11 am Friday July 14, 2006 from the Chapel of Turner Funeral Home with Rev. J.L. Jones and Rev. Johnny Jones officiating. Interment will follow in the Brunson Chapel Cemetery with Turner Funeral Home of Luverne directing. Ms. Brantley is preceded in death by her parents, Clyde Hicks and Lois Church and a sister, Sue Layton. Survivors include her sister and brother-in-law, Bobbie and Larry Leverette of Goshen; four nieces and two nephews and a special friend, Eddy Brantley. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 6pm until 8pm.
