Charlotte Ward Carpenter

Memorial services for Charlotte Ward Carpenter, 66, of Chattanooga, Tenn., who died Thursday, June 29, 2006, at her home, were at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 2, 2006, at the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Chattanooga, with the Revs. Dallas Beck, Barry Kidwell and Ron Goodman officiating.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 29, at Griffin Cemetery in Troy.

Mrs. Carpenter was born in Troy, the daughter of Willie Lane and Lena Floyd Ward. She lived most of her life in Chattanooga. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School and a member of St. John United Methodist Church. She was long-affiliated with Amateur Softball. She was an avid bowler and had served in several leagues. She had been the manager of Hickory Creek Town homes for the past six years.

She is survived by her sister and her husband, Shirley and Bob Brown of Chattanooga; a niece and her husband, Holly and Dewey Williams of Bartlesville, Okla.; three nephews, Drew and Darby Williams of Bartlesville, and Phillip (Pat) Vaughn of Northburg, N.J.; and a special longtime friend, Ruth Patterson of Chattanooga.

Tiny Wilkinson, 52, of Brundidge, died at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Thursday, July 20, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Sunday, July 23, 2006 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Monday, July 24, 2006 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Roger Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be Johnathan Turner, Jerry Allen, Gene Carter, Rickey Godwin, Steve Whitehead, and Thomas Kipp. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Connie Lou Killingsworth Dismukes

Connie Lou Killingsworth Dismukes, died at Columbus Medical Center on Thursday, July 20, 2006. She was 94.

She was born in Coffee County, Alabama on May 4, 1912, and lived the majority of her life there.

For the past several years she had been a resident of Phenix City, Alabama. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Friday, July 21, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at New Hope Baptist Church on Saturday, July 22, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Roosevelt Oakes, Reverend Mack King and Reverend Jerry Long officiating. Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to New Hope Cemetery Foundation, Inc., 5711 County Road 114, Brundidge, Alabama 36010. The pallbearers are her Grandsons, Reed Dismukes, Dennis Dismukes, Derryl Dismukes, Ashley Dismukes, Heath Killingsworth, Clint Ziglar, Kirk Roberts, David Shea, and Will Dorriety. Survivors include 4 Sons, Joe Samson (Betsy) Dismukes, Bill R. (Marie) Dismukes, Don V. (Sybile) Dismukes, and George W. Dismukes, 11 Grandchildren, Reed (Eve) Dismukes, Donna (Greg) Dorriety, Stephanie (Kirk) Roberts, Ashley (Lois) Dismukes, Dennis (Kim) Dismukes, Derryl (Amy) Dismukes, Sabrina (David) Shea, Vicky (John) Meadows, Peggy Dismukes, Diane Dismukes, and Renae (J.R.) Smith, 20 Great grandchildren, Brittany, Erin and Samson Dismukes, Will and Elizabeth Dorriety, Wilson and Henry Roberts, Elizabeth and Emily Dismukes, Dalton and Jullian Dismukes, Erika and Colton Shea, Ashlyn, Derek and Devin Dismukes, Clint and Dillan Ziglar, Heath Killingsworth, and Jenna Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Vester (Gene) Dismukes, parents, Samson and Penny Killingsworth, and step-children, Norma Griswold, Erma Jean Roberson, Jim Mack Dismukes, and Mary Claude Kelley.

Tytis &#8220Tag” Shipman

Services for Tytis &#8220Tag” Shipman, 87, of Troy who died July 19, 2006 in Troy will be at 1 p.m. July 24 at Antioch Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. L. C. McMillian officiating.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 23 from 12 Noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Lawrence Owen Windham

Lawrence Owen Windham, 84, of Banks died Saturday, July 22, 2006.

Funeral services will be held Mondya, Kuly 24, 2006, at 11 a.m. from Ebeneser Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include: His wife of 64 years, Gladys Morgan Windham of Banks; a son, Larry (Harriet) Windham of Saraland; daughters, Ann (Mac) Windham of Saraland and Mary Shiver of Mt. Hope; grandchildren, Ken (Tonya)

Windham of Saraland, Janet (Marv) Jackson of Greenville, Rhonda (Jeff) Thornton of Suwanee, Ga. and Matthew (Tasha) Seay of Dothan' great-grandchildren, Kenny and Baylee Windham, Mason and Sara Thornton, Haley, Jackson and Wayne Seay, Jr.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Charlie V. and Emma D. Windham and his son, Charles M. Windham.

He will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.
