Annie M. Baker
Services for Annie M. Baker, 72, of Troy who died July 10, 2006 at Jackson Hospital will be at 2 p.m. at Mt. Hillard Baptist Church with James Kennedy officiating.
Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy. Visitation will be from 12 Noon until 5 p.m. at the funeral home.
She was born April 21, 1934 in Pike County. She was a housewife and enjoyed being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey and Minnie Lee Baker.
Frances Elizabeth Gay
Services for Frances Elizabeth Gay, 64, of Banks who died Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at her home will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 14 at Northside Baptist Church located on Highway 29 North in Troy with Reverend Clifford Matthews officiating. She will lie-in-state for 1 hour prior to the service.
Skeen Funeral Home of Troy will be directing.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 13 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gay was born July 14, 1941 in Arkansas. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie and Elsie Woods Glisson, son, David Wesley Gay and a sister, Nola Tipton.
Survivors include her husband, William Shelby Gay of Banks; sons and wife, Joseph Gay of Troy and Shelby and Dianna Gay of Banks; daughters and their husbands, Cathy and Chuck Adams, Frankie Gay and Christy and David Morey all of Banks; brothers, Charles Glisson of Alaska and Wayne Glisson of Mulberry, Florida; sisters, Polly Tipton, Linda Poston, Mary Jones and Brenda Dunn all of Dade City, Florida; 13 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Homegoing Service for Mr. Sylvester Bryant, 88,
will be held on Friday, July 14, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at Antioch Baptist Church, Banks, Alabama, with Rev. Tony Scott officiating.
Interment will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of
the George F. Grubbs Funeral Home.
On April 14, 1918, Sylvester Bryant was born in Pike County, Alabama, to the late Mr. and Mrs. John & Rena Bryant.
He received his education in Banks, Alabama.
He moved to Chicago, Illinois at an early age, and returned to Troy, Alabama six years ago.
He was a faithful member of Dunn Chapel A.M.E. Church until his health failed.
He was preceded in death by his ex-wife, Essie Mae Bryant; wife, Lillian Bryant; and fourteen brothers and sisters.
He leaves his memories to his four sons: R.T. (Gloria) Bryant of Troy, AL; Bobby (Angela) Bryant of Upper Marlboro, MD; Larry (Janie) Bryant of Springfield, MA; five daughters: Mary Helen (Albert) Copeland of Decatur, GA; Jimmy Sue Bryant of Troy, AL; Eddie Mae Hooks of Detroit, MI; and Bonnie (Ernest) Covington and Louise (Teddy) Campbell, both of Chicago, IL; three stepchildren: Edwin (Sandra) Nelson, Irving Nelson, and Ernest Nelson, all of Chicago, IL; twenty-seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, twenty-nine great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, one brother, Fred Bryant of Troy, AL; one sister, Cora Burney of Newark, NJ; one sister-in-law, Tommie Jean Parnell of Troy, AL; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Pallbearers are Aaron Bryant, Marcus Bryant, Veron Bryant, Willie Bryant, Willie James Hampton, Samuel Lewis & Eric Parnell
Flower Bearers are friends and family.
