David Parrish

David Parrish, 58, of Troy died Sunday, June 18, 2006, at his home.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the chapel of Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with the Rev Al Norris officiating.

Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006, from 6-8 p.m.

He was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Ozark to Isabelle Virginia Sexton Parrish and Norman Wayne Parrish. He was employed with National Freezer in Troy.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughters, Ashley Parrish Reilly and her husband, Tony of Daleville and Angel Parrish of Ariton; two sisters, Norma Sasser and Janice Grice of Ariton; three brothers, Billy Parrish of Ariton, Bobby Parrish of New Brockton and Johnny Parrish of Ariton.

Helen Sybil Partin Young

Helen Sybil Partin Young, 77, was born September 9, 1928 in Troy to Minnie Lee Senn Partin and William Gervis Partin. Mrs.Young died at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery, Monday, June 19, 2006 after a courageous fight of cancer. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Wednesday, June 21, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Thursday, June 22, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Chuck Fransico officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association. The pallbearers will be Phil Oakes, Britt Newman, Jeremy Scarbrough, Mark Wilson, Edge Senn, James Canady, and Scott Armour. She is survived by her children, Jane Thrash (Bob) of Brundidge, Barbara Bullock (Wayne) of Troy, Robert Young (Sonny) of Troy, and Marx Young (Cheryl) of Ramer, her grandchildren, Payne Nash and Scott Armour of Newnan, Ga., Lynn Bullock Scarbrough (Jeremy) of Troy, Christie Bullock Newman (Britt), Troy, Angie Bullock McQuagge (Phil Oakes) of Troy, Amy Thrash Wilson (Mark) of Brundidge, and Meredith Young Brannon of Andalusia, her step grandson, Trey Tallant of Ramer, her great grandchildren who called her Nanny on the Hill, Brittany Lee Newman, Dustin Newman, Alyssa McQuagge, Tori McQuagge, Tristen McQuagge, Tyler Scarbrough, Zack Scarbrough, and Jacob Brannon, her brothers and a sisters, Bill Partin (Norma) of Augusta, Ga., Rex Partin (Nancy) of Augusta, Ga., Josephine P. Davis (Morris) of Troy.

She had many cousins she loved like brothers and sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert M. Young, Jr, her parents, William Gervis and Minnie Lee Senn Partin, brother and sister-in-law, David and Joyce Partin and a sister, Sandra P. Dyer.

Edward Jones

Mr. Edward Jones age 54 of Brundidge died Tuesday, June 20, 2006 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark.

Funeral services for Mr. Edward Jones will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Calvary Assembly of God Church with Reverend Randy Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Brundidge with Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Joy Jones of Brundidge; parents, Grady and Bertha Mae Jones of Troy; sons, Charles Jones of Clio and Austin Jones of Brundidge; daughters, Sylvia Sheppard of Clio, Victoria Jones of Terenel and Alisha Juneau of Tuscaloosa; brothers and sisters-in-law, Grady Jones of Auburndale, Florida, Ed and Ruth Jones of Clio, Bobo Jones of Clio, Pete and Joyce Jones of Clio, Harry and Marion Jones of Troy and Larry and Denise Jones of Newton; sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Payne of Ozark, Rita and John Williams of Ariton, Vernell and Larry Bodie of Esto, Florida, Kathy and Chris McKenzie of Troy, Barbara and Tommy Kidd of Troy and Susan Jones of Troy.

Grandchildren, Wilbur Taylor, Mindy Taylor, Charles Jones, Jr., Miranda Sheppard, Amanda Hines and Jerry Sheppard, II.

Mr. Edward Jones was preceded in death by his son, Steven Lee Jones.

Pallbearers will include John Williams, Bobby Williams, James Parrish, William Payne, Adam Williams, Terry Jones, Betho Lopez and Juventino Bavagan.
