William Stuart Lassiter, III

Services for William Stuart Lassiter, III, age 15, of Troy who died Sunday, April 2, 2006 in Banks will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2006 at Skeen Funeral Home in Troy with Mr. Chauncey Wood officiating. He will lie-in-state for 30 minutes before the service.

Burial will be in Union Springs Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, between Brundidge and Springhill, under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, April 5 at the funeral home.

William was born July 23, 1990 in Melbourne, Florida.

William was a student at Pike County High School in Brundidge and was a member of JROTC. He was bright, outgoing, loyal and well respected by all. He was always working on a project and was his mother's right arm. He embraced life to the fullest, always with a smile on his face. William will be missed by all that have met, known and loved him

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, William Lassiter and Jay Squier.

Survivors include his father, William Lassiter, Jr. of Palm Bay, Florida; mother, Crystal Squier of Troy; brothers, Joshua Withrow of Palm Bay, Florida, Jesse Duncan

of Troy and Garrett Lassiter of Troy; sister, Jessica Withrow of Troy; grandmothers, Betty Lassiter of Port Orange, Florida and Jo Anne Squier of Daytona, Florida and a nephew, Alex Paul Withrow of Palm Bay, Florida.

The pallbearers will be the JROTC and Students of Pike County High School and his two brothers, Joshua Withrow and Jesse Duncan.

Wallace Alto Knotts, 74, of Brundidge, died at his home Tuesday, April

4, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, April 7, 2006

from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ray Stinston officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The pallbearers are Eddie Whitehead, Pat Whitehead, Jimmy Whitehead, Steve Whitehead, Chris Avant, and Chris Carroll. He is survived by Children, Wally (Eunice) Knotts of Hamilton, Georgia, Suzanne (Allen) Jordan of Andrews, South Carolina, Janet Knotts of Kaneohe, Hawaii, Julie (Adam) Shirley of Kailua, Hawaii, and John (Elisa) Knotts of Brundidge, Grandchildren, Tony, Heather, Marcus, Lance, Aaron, Savannah, and Mathew, Great grandchildren, Gavin and Cason, Sisters, Nell Stinson of Jack, Frances Boutwell of Phenix City, and Glenda Daniels of Elba, Brothers, Curtis Knotts of Elba, and Lamar Knotts of Center Ridge.
