Furnie Austin Ellis

Services for Furnie Austin Ellis, 83, of the Springfield Community in Brundidge who died Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at his residence will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 2, 2006 at Springfield Baptist Church in Brundidge with Dr. Chuck Blair and Rev. Kenneth Baggett officiating.

The body will lie in state for 1 hour prior to the service.

Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Brundidge.

Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 1 at the funeral home.

Mr. Ellis was born February 1, 1923 in Pike County. He was retired from the logging business.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel James Ellis and Eddie Green Campbell Ellis; daughter, Faye Ellis of the Springfield Community; great-grandson, Jeremy Frank Danner of Ashford and a brother, Clarence Ellis of Phenix City.

Survivors include his wife, Octavia Mays Ellis of the Springfield Community; daughters and their husbands, Louise and Franklin Danner of Brundidge; Brenda and Jerry Lee of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren and their spouses, Jeffery Frank and Lori Danner of Ashford, Devin Ellis and Amy Danner of Elba, Toby and Kelly Walker of Crossville, Alabama,

Payne and Barbie Walker of Shalimar, Florida and Amber and Chad Donald of Huntsville; step grandchildren, Cynthia Martin of Eufaula and Jay Taylor of Wetumpka; great-grandchildren, Haley Danner of Ashford, Regan Austin Danner of Elba, Brody Walker and Logan Walker both of Crossville, Alabama, Donovan Walker and Garrett Walker both of Shalimar, Florida; Gavin Donald and Jack Donald both of Huntsville; step great-grandchildren, Katie and Hunter Martin of Eufaula and Misty and Brittany Taylor of Wetumpka; brothers and their wives, James Wanda and Genie Mae Ellis of Brundidge and David and Renee Ellis of Phenix City and a sister-in-law, Quillie Lee Ellis of Phenix City.

James Leon Trawick

James Leon Trawick, 50, of Tanyard, died at his home, Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Loflin Baptist Church on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. He is survived by Wife, Lisa Trawick of Tanyard, Children, Mylia (Lavon) Singleton of Josie, Jennifer (Steven) Redmon of Linwood, and Jim (Amelia) Culpepper of Troy, Mother, Hazel Mobley of Tanyard, Sister, Patricia (Wayne) Rhodes of Goshen, Brother, David (Judy) Trawick of Tanyard, Grandchildren, Kylie Redmon, Alisa-Kay Culpepper, Jeffrey Redmon, Ryan Singleton, Andrew Singleton, and Clifton Culpepper. He was preceded in death by his father, Ed Trawick.

Imogene Reese Walters

Imogene Reese Walters, 60, of Ansley, died at her home, Tuesday, February 28, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, March 2, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Minister Jimmy Mathews officiating. Burial will follow at Antioch Cemetery at Shelhorn. In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to Antioch Church of Christ, Antioch Cemetery Fund, Lighthouse Hospice of Troy, The American Cancer Society or the Larkin L. Reese Scholarship Fund at Troy University. The pallbearers are Tracy Hinton, Mike Kreis, Tony Kreis, David (Bubba) Conrad, Jr., Donnie Broderway, and Tracy Deal. The honorary pallbearers are Members of Antioch Church of Christ and The Staff of Lighthouse Hospice. She is survived by, Husband, Joseph T. (Joe) Walters, Sr. of Ansley, Sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph T. (Joey) and Crystalee Walters, Jr. of Ansley, and Jeffery Reese Walters of Ansley, Brother and sister-in-law, Carl Edwin and Flora Reese, Jr. of Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl E. and Bonnie Larkin Reese, Sr. and a brother, Larkin Lamar Reese.
