Willie Mae Flournoy
Willie Mae Flournoy, 93, of Brundidge died Feb. 16, 2006.
Services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2006, at 2 p.m. at Jerusalem Temple with Earnest Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Gethsemane.
Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Monday, Feb. 20, 2006, with a wake from 6-7 p.m. Monday evening at Moore Chapel Funeral Home.
Calvin Bradley Brown
Calvin Bradley Brown, 83, of Banks died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, at Jackson Hospital in Montgomery.
Services will be be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Ebeneezer Baptist Church in Banks with the Revs. Marvin Jackson and John Douglas Johnson officiating.
The body will lie in state from 1:30-2 p.m. prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
He was born June 11, 1922, in Pike County to the late Calvin Stephan Brown and Cora Knight Brown. He was retired from the state of Alabama and as a farmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Era Harden of Columbus, Ga., and Mamie Price of Banks.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Eloise Law Brown of Banks; sons and wives, Jerry and Donna Brown of Centerville,
Charles and Dianne Brown of Banks; grandsons and wives, Barclay and Lisa Brown of Centerville, Greg and Renee Brown of Banks, Brad and Kerri Brwon of Centerville; great grandchildren Jeremy and Devan Brown of Centerville, Morgan, Montanna and Weston Brown of Banks and Jen Newman of Centerville; a brother, Bryant Brown of Banks; sisters, Estelle mcVay of Seale, Bessie Burton of Brundidge and Agnes Green of Josie.
Kendra Marie Wingard
Kendra Marie Wingard, 11, of Troy, Alabama, died at Children’s Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama, Thursday, February 16, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, February 17, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, February 18, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Sunday, February 19, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend William Leverett officiating. Burial will follow at Wingard Cemetery. The family request that memorials made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation or Children’s Hospital. The honorary pallbearers are Dr. Ellen Dragston, Dr. Todd Pearlstein, The staff of Children’s Hospital, Children’s Harbor, Staff of Troy Recreaction Department, and Goshen Elementery School.
