Virginia Noles Coker
Virginia Noles Coker, 86, a longtime resident of Troy, died Sunday, January 15, 2006 in Montgomery, Alabama.
Mrs. Coker was born to William S. and Virgin Morris Noles July 30, 1919, in Nauvoo, Alabama. She received her registered nursing degree at Peoples Hospital in Jasper, Alabama. She worked in the nursing profession for 35 years. She was a member Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy.
She was preceded in death by her husband John M. Coker, Sr., brothers Frank, Malcolm and Sam Noles and sisters Mary Miller, Willie Gay and Ida Bramlett. Survivors include sons John M. Coker, Jr. and wife Lynne of Montgomery and William Ronald Coker and wife Sharon of Birmingham; five grandchildren John M. Coker III (Tres) and wife Lori, Nathan D. Coker, William Jay Coker and wife Hollie, Sarah W. Coker and Virginia Jill Coker and one great grandchild, Mallory Claire Coker and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends and family Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy at 12:00 noon. Funeral services will be at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 p.m. followed by internment at Greenhills Cemetery of Troy.
The family would like to express its sincere appreciation to Mrs. Coker's caregivers at Cedar Crest Nursing Home and Odyssey Health Care. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Bush Memorial Baptist Church in Troy or the charity of your choice.
Coley B. Grace
Graveside services for Coley B. Grace, 64, of Troy who died Sunday, January 15, 2006 at Troy Regional Medical Center will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, January 17 at White Rock Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Chuck Blair officiating.
Burial is under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, January 16 at the funeral home.
Mr. Grace was born July 15, 1941 in Pike County. He was retired from the Sheet Metal in Aviation industry.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter L. Grace and Inez Hagan Grace; two brothers, Bryant and Johnny Grace and a sister, Florene Hoover.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Grace; daughters and their husbands, Melissa and Marc Garrett and Sonya and Howard Dickey; grandchildren, Ashley Grace, Heather Newman, Alex Newman, Megan Garrett and Andrew Garrett and beloved friend and mother of his children, Mary McQuagge, all of Troy; five sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Randy Scarbrough, Tommy Scarbrough, Howard Dickey, Marc Garrett, Wesley Scarbrough and Paul Scarbrough.
Richmond Hobson Lee
Richmond Hobson Lee, 92, a native of Troy and longtime resident of Jensen Beach, Fla., died December 17, 2005. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, January 22, 2006 at the Oak Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Spencer Turnipseed officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mr. Lee was born to Robert Edward Lee and Lena Price Lee on October 4, 1913 in Pike County. He is a World War II Veteran, having served in the United States Army in the European Theater. Upon retirement from Pratt Whitney, he spent his time raising orchids and shopping for antiques and flea market specials. He also served two years as president of the Martin County Orchid Society.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Melba Hanson; nephews, Donald Lee of Troy; Hal Lee, Jr. of Goshen, James Lee, of Dothan and Wayne Lee of Montgomery; nieces, Edwina Lee of Grant, N.M., Anita Martin and Linda Goodson both of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Melissa Nordman of Mobile; Carolyn Lee of Fayetteville, Ark., and Lori McLemore of Atlanta, Ga., and several great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Lena Lee; brothers, Evan, Robert, Herman, Charles (Lindy) and Harold; and sisters, Lena Lee, Mary Roth and Minnie Bassett.

Maeloa Mathews Jordan, 82, of Luverne died at Crenshaw Community Hospital in Luverne, Monday, January 16, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Wayne Locklar officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation or your favorite charity. She is survived by 2 Daughters and a son-in-law, Joan Spivey of Troy and Jean and Charles Driver of Deatsville, Grandchildren, Timmy (Reba) Spivey of Troy, Thomas D. (Kathy) Spivey of Troy, Vickie Messick of Pell City, Jondy (Elvira) Spivey of Troy, Randy (Linda) Messick of Montgomery, Julie (Curt) Chesnutt of Troy, Jennifer (Dan) Myers of Deatsville, Geina (James) Andrews of Troy, Gere (Melissa) Spivey of Troy and Jacob Money of Deatsville, Several great grandchildren, 2 Sisters and a brother-in-law, Voncile Andress of Troy and Mildred and Pete Beasley of Florida.

Huey Frank &uot;Mr. Mack&uot; McLendon, 91, of Brundidge, Alabama died at his home Sunday, January 15, 2006. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge on Wednesday, January 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM with Reverend Don Grantham officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Baptist Church Cemetery, in Banks, Alabama. The pallbearers will be David Green, Roger Gunter, Bob Bryant, Chris McLendon, Joey McLendon and Chett Jacobson. The honorary pallbearers are Randy Ross, Russell Pittman, Andy McLendon and Ricky McLendon. Survivors include, Wife, Wilma McLendon of Brundidge, Alabama, 3 Sons, Dannie (Toby) McLendon of Phenix City, Alabama, Randy (April) McLendon of Ooltawah, Tennessee and Randall (Christie) McLendon of Phenix City, Alabama, 3 Daughters, Delores Cherry of Brundidge, Alabama, Janice Patton of Brundidge, Alabama and Darlene Chambers of Phenix City, Alabama, 2 Sisters, Lizzie Green of Brundidge, Alabama and Rosa King of Phenix City, Alabama, 16 Grandchildren and 18 Great grandchildren.
