Tommy Frank Connell, Sr.
Mr. Tommy Frank Connell, Sr., age 59, of Brundidge died Christmas morning, December 25, 2005, after spending a wonderful Christmas Eve with his grandson and immediate family members.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 27, 2005, from Salem Baptist Church in Brundidge, with interment following in Lakeview Cemetery with Bob Thrash of Keahey Funeral Home of Clio directing. Officiating will be Brother Bobby T. Hood, Rev. Cliff Allred, Rev. Rex Godwin.
Visitation will be held at the church from noon until immediately prior to the service.
Tommy was a firefighter with the City of Troy and retired as a lieutenant after 26 years of service. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church for 48 years, and served there as an ordained deacon.
Tommy was preceded in death by his younger brother, Charles Howard Connell, his father, Frank Glen Connell, and his father and mother-in-law, Mack Sollie and Laurie Jean Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Rebecca Wilson Connell; mother, Ethma Connell, Troy; his son and daughter-in-law, Tom F. Connell, Jr. and Torri West Connell; his daughter and son-in-law, Melanie Connell Wilson and Brian Patrick Wilson, Birmingham; his grandson, Patrick Connell Eamon Wilson, Birmingham; his brother and sister-in-law, Kenny and June Godwin Connell, Townsend, Tenn.; his niece Brandy Connell, Big Fork, Mont.; and his sister-in-law, Kathy Wilson, Destin, Fla.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Salem Baptist Church, Pascagoula Missions, P.O. Box 802, Brundidge, AL 36010.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Austin, Don Shehane, Thomas Outlaw, David Taylor, Chad Kilcrease, Paul Outlaw, Jade Fleming, Shawn Sims.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Troy Firemen, Deacons and the Fisher of Men's Sunday School class at Salem Baptist Church.
Erma Bryan Danenberg
Mrs. Erma Bryan Danenberg age 93 of Birmingham died Saturday, December 24, 2005.
Visitation will be held Monday, December 26, 2005 from 9:45 PM until 10:45 PM at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy.
Grave Side services will be held at Green Hills Memorial Park, Monday, December 26, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Minister Keith Ellis officiating.
Survivors include, a son and Daughter-In-Law, Alan J. and Cathy Dane of Birmingham, 2 Grandsons Jason and Adam Dane of Birmingham, Nieces and Nephews June Bryan
Thomas and Fred Thomas of Opelika, Jimmy an Sherby Bryan of Goshen and William C. Ellis of Montgomery. She was preceded in death by her husband Eli M. “Danny” Danenberg.

Bertha Mae Gates
Bertha Mae Gates, 71, of Troy, died at Baptist Medical Center in Montgomery, Sunday, December 25, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Monday, December 26, 2005 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Zebulon Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Earl Oaks officiating. Burial will follow at Sandfield Cemetery. The family request that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society. The Pallbearers will be Terry Green, Mike Green, Mark Green, Gay Norris, Clint Brown, Scott Riley and Donnie Green. Survivors include, 2 Daughters and sons-in-law, Charlene and Monty Green of Troy and Rhonda and James Scott of Troy, Son, Rickey and Wanda Penton of Troy, Grandchildren, Luchana and Jay Senn, Lukisha and Huey Stephens, Charles Green and Josh Penton, Great grandchildren, Morgan Green, Alexus Stephens, Klara Grace Senn and Montiel Green, Sisters, Sarah Brown and Cathrine Green, Brothers, Franklin Riley, Ralph Riley and Howard Riley, Several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Gates, her parents, Denzil and Jessie Lee Riley and a brother, J.C. Riley.
