Claudie Mae Killough Blackwell

Claudie Mae Killough Blackwell, 92, of Troy, died at Troy Regional Medical Center, Thursday, December 15, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Saturday, December 17, 2005 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, December 17, 2005 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Bo Weed officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park. The pallbearers will be her great grandsons. The honorary pallbearers are Eula Mitchell, Lewis (Ruby) Powell, Rogers (Ima) Powell, Dr. Alan Young and Ethel Powell. Survivors include, 3 Children, Sarah B. Adams of Troy, Jo (Jack) Scrushy of Grady and William H. (Faye) Blackwell of Troy, 7 Grandchildren and 20 Great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry C. Blackwell and a grandchild.

Alisa Danley, 35 of Atlanta, formerly of Troy died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 in Toccoa, Georgia.  Graveside services will be held at Paran Cemetery, Sunday, December 18, 2005 at 2:00 PM with Reverend Ray Danley officiating. 

Survivors include, mother and stepfather, Gloria Danley and Keith Lemasters, Monroe, Georgia, father and stepmother, Ray and Carol Danley, Dillard, Georgia, brother and sister-in-law, Patrick &#8220Bo” and Kendra Danley, Auburn, Georgia, brother and sister-in-law, Wesley and Lisa Danley, Tampa, Florida, brother and sister-in-law, Gregg and Jennifer Martin, Georgetown, Texas, sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Mark Dickerson, Liberty, Texas. 

Alisa was born in Birmingham, Alabama.  Alisa conquered illness for many years, and now she will be sick no more.  She was loved well, and will be missed much. Alisa has a very positive attitude and enjoyed life. 

A memorial service will be held at Sorrell Chapel on Troy University's campus at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005.

Lemuel &#8220Tim” Langley

Services for Lemuel &#8220Tim” Langley, 72, of Jack who died Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at his home will be at 11a.m. Friday, December 16, 2005 at Perdue Assembly of God Church in Jack with Rev. Hollis Bradley officiating and Eulogy by his granddaughter, Pamela Langley Beck.

Mr. Langley will lie-in-state from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military rites under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, December 15 at the funeral home.

He was born May 28, 1933 in Pope County Florida.

He was preceded in death by his parents Riley Pasco Langley and Susie Mae Johnson Langley, a son, Mike Langley and a grandson, Douglas Flowers.

Survivors include his wife, Erlene Hurst Langley of Jack; children, Gary and Betty Langley of Montgomery, Sandra and Hughey, Stephens, Sr. of Troy and Rhonda and Jeff Peters of Brundidge; 13 grandchildren, Pam, Cindy, Little Hughey, Sandy, Jenny, Angie, Jamie, Lester, Rick, Lakisha, Marlo, Wayne and Todd; 13 great-grandchildren, Chris, Lucas, Tanah, Taylor, Mackenzie, Addison, Garret, Lexi, Devan, Braxton, Blake, Shane and Brittney; sister, JoAnn Bath of Jack and brothers, Edward Langley of La. and Gene Langley of Ocala, Fl.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey Peters, Gary Langley, Lester Beck, Chris Beck, Allen Hatten, Timothy Hurst, Wayne Duncan and Andy Hurst.

Dixie L. Smith

Dixie L. Smith, 83, of Troy died Dec. 12, 2005, at her home.

Graveside services will be Dec. 17, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Corroll Street Cemetery with the Rev. George Gilchrist officiating.

Visitation will be Dec. 16.

She was born June 29, 1922, in Pike County to Alfred and Florrie (Dozier) Stringer. She attended Academy Street High School and was self-employed as a beautician. She attended First Missionary Baptist Church and was a member of Silver Star Chapter #12 - Order of the Eastern Star. She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts and crocheting.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Baxter; a son, James (Lydia) Smith; grandchildren, Jannique (Cleveland) Lee and Lionel Smith; great-grandchild, Stevien M. Baxter; two nieces,Beverly Wardell and Mari Noble DaSilva; one nephew Willie King; a loving caregiver, Carolyn Knight and family and friends.

Pallbearers and floralbearers will be friends of the family.
