Fernie Bryant

Fernie Bryant, 78, of Brundidge, died at Troy Regional Medical Center, Monday, Nov. 28, 2005.

Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Brundidge on Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Brundidge on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Joe Underwood, the Rev. Don Grantham and the Rev. Roger Waldrop officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery, in Brundidge with Dillard Funeral Home of Brundidge directing.

The family request that memorials be made to Wiregrass Hospice.

The pallbearers will be, Lawrence Ashberry, Rufus Hornsby, Brady Austen, Jack Hornsby, Mike Snider and Keith Hornsby. Survivors include, Wife of 58 years, Catherine Bryant of Brundidge, two sons, Fernie Glen Bryant of Birmingham, and Jimmy Ray Bryant of Tarentum, four granddaughters, six great grandchildren, Sister, Mattie Lee Ashberry of Roten and Brother, Shelby Bryant of Wauchula, Florida.

Mr. Bryant was one of five brothers and five sisters.

He lived in Pike County all of his life except for the time he served overseas during the Korean War.

He also served in the local National Guard unit.

He was a member of Roten Baptist Church and the local Masonic Lodge.

Mack R. Bradford

Mack R. Bradford, 87, of Grady, Alabama died at Crown Health Care in Montgomery, Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church.

The funeral service will be held at Oak Bowery Church of Christ on Friday, Dec. 2, 2005 at 10 a.m. with Minister Robert Allen and Minister Wyman Sanders officiating. Burial will be at Laurel Cemetery in Thomasville Friday Dec. 2, 2005 at 3 p.m. with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. The pallbearers will be his grandsons. The honorary pallbearers are Newton Rials, Jack Redman and Gilbert Sellers. Survivors include, wife, Marie Bradford of Grady, Alabama, daughters and sons-in-law, Gloria and Tommy Ray of Providence, Alabama, Joy and Danny Smith of Dixon Mills, Alabama, Sue and Johnny Walker of Dixon Mills, Alabama and Cherry and Kenneth Cobb of Dixon Mills, Alabama, nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, step children, Leroy and Brenda McLeod of Brandon, Mississippi and Margaret and Billy Sawyer of Grady, Alabama, six step grandchildren, 13 step great grandchildren, Brother, Charlie Bradford of Dixon Mills, Alabama and numerous nieces and nephews.

Hazel Mae Youngblood McClain

Services for Hazel Mae Youngblood McClain,72, of Troy who died Nov. 25, 2005

in Troy will be at 1 p.m. Dec. 1, 2005 at Lily White Church of the Living God, EPC-White Water Community, Troy with Pastor, Martha Griffin officiating.

Burial will be in Clay Hill Church Cemetery on the Elba Highway, County Road 306 under the direction of Harrison Funeral Home of Troy.

Visitation was from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m. Nov. 30, 2005 at the funeral home.

She was born Sept. 10, 1933, in Pike County and was a member of Lily White Church of the Living God, Pleasant Shade Baptist Church in Enterprise. Hazel enjoyed spending time with family and friends

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dewey Youngblood and Ida Lee Carter.

Survivors include her children, Herman McClain, Thomas J. McClain, Clifford C. McClain, Charles W. McClain, Gregory McClain, Tommy McClain, Priscilla Wheeler and Valencia L. McClain, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be friends of the family.

Floral bearers will be friends of the family.
