Elender West Sanders
Mrs. Elender West Sanders, 87, of Goshen, died at her home Monday, Oct. 17, 2005.
Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.
There will be a one hour lie-in-state prior to the service at the church. The funeral service will be held at Goshen United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Oct. 19, 2005, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Lavon Davis and the Rev. Andy Blackmon officiating.
Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery with Dillard Funeral Home of Troy directing. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Goshen United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sally Belle Tate and Benjamin West, her husband, Herschel John Sanders, a son, Benjamin Herschel Sanders, a daughter, Dollie Sue Sanders and two grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Cora and Bill McMaster of Goshen, Wendell and Ann Sanders of Enterprise, Lewis and Elaine Sanders of Goshen, John and Phyllis Sanders of Dothan, Jimmy and Kay Sanders of Brundidge, Ann and Robert Dunn of Banks, Harry and Becky Sanders of Brundidge, special grandchildren and caregivers, Tina and Tim White of Goshen, 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Nell Sanders of Goshen, widow of Benny Sanders.
Active and honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren and their spouses.
Mary D. Crawley
Mrs. Mary D. Crawley age 85 of Banks died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at the Ozark Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Graveside Services for Mrs. Crawley will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at the Banks Cemetery with the Rev. Roger Waldrop officiating.
Visitation will be held at the Banks Cemetery from 10 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, William (Bill) and Norma Crawley of Ardmore, Oklah., Jim and Anne Crawley of Troy and Jack and Annette Crawley of Brundidge; a sister, Barnette Pope of Greensboro, N.C.; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Brantley Crawley, parents, Benjamin Franklin and Bertha Warrick Dickens, two sisters Annelle Tillery and Gertrude Harrison, and a brother William Franklin Dickens.
Her Pallbearers will be Ben Smith, Mike Smith, Randall Smith, Will Crawley, Ben Crawley, Tom Crawley and Mathew Crawley.
The family requests no flowers. Memorials may be made to the Banks Baptist Church, Wiregrass Hospice or your favorite charity.
Braxton Maynard Brunson
Mr. Braxton Maynard Brunson age 71 of Elba died Saturday, Oct. 15, 2005, at his home in Elba.
Funeral services will be at Wise Mill Assembly of God Church on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Kenneth Hagler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Wise Mill Assembly of God Church Cemetery Elba.
Visitation was at Hayes Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Mr. Brunson will lie in state one hour prior to services at Wise Mill Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include daughter Chelita Hodge (DeWayne) of Elba, Son-Terry Brunson (Sheryl) of Elba; son Tim Brunson (Annette) of Elba; son, Ted Brunson of Elba; daughter, Rosa Green (Atlas) of Brundidge; brother, Foyel Brunson of Dothan; brother, Bobby Brunson of Elba;
brother, Billy Joe Brunson of Elba; sister, Martha Ann Jones of Brundidge; sister, Rhoda Syrell of Oswego, N.Y.; grandson-Chris Hodge of Elba; granddaughter-in-law-April Hodge of Elba; grandson, Steve Hodge of Dothan; dranddaughter-in-law, Gentrie Hodge of Dothan; grandson, Huey Green of Brundidge; grandson, Randall Brunson of Elba; granddaughter, Heather Brunson of Elba; grandson, Matt Brunson of Elba; granddaughter, Jessie Brunson of Elba; grandson, Bryan Brunson of Elba;
great-grandson, Tyler Grant of Clarksville, Tenn.
Mr. Brunson was preceded in death by his wife, Vivian Marler Brunson, and a
brother, Talmedge Brunson.
Hayes Funeral Home of Elba, Alabama is serving the Brunson family.
Jimmie Sue Qualls
Jimmie Sue Qualls, 63, of Meadowbrook died Oct. 15, 2005.
She was a member of Meadowbrook Baptist Church for 12 years an was a member of Shades Crest Baptist Church for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, james and Margene Phillips.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, William F. &uot;Bill&uot; Qualls; a daughter, Katherine (Howard) Porter of Auburn; Sarah (Jason) Chandler of Birmingham; Emily Porter of Birmingham; sister-in-law, Jean Orendorff; aunts and uncles, Homer (Sally) Reeves of Troy, George (Louise) Reeves of Troy, Dot (Shelton) Pinkerton of Pensacola, Fla.
Visitation was held Monday, Oct. 17, 2005, from 5-7 p.m. at Rideout's Southern Heritage Chapel.
Services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2005, at 10 a.m. at Meadowbrook Baptist Church with burial at Green Hills Cemetery in Troy at 3:30 p.m. with
Rideout's Southern Heritage Chapel directing.
