Archie Dove

Mr. Archie Dove, 75, of Andalusia died Thursday, October 20, 2005 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, October 23 from Foreman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Locklar officiating and burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Pike County. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie F. Dove of Andalusia, his sons, Ken Dove and Brian Dove both of Andalusia; a daughter, Sheila Slaght of Eddy Stone, Pennslyvania; five grandchildren; his brother, Ronald Dove of Glen Mills, Pennsylvania; sister, Marilyn Ross of Worthen, Maryland and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will accept flowers or memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.

Lois Ellis

Lois Ellis, 85, of Destin, Fla., a former Brundidge resident, died Saturday, Oct. 22, at Delta Health Care in Destin.

Services for Mrs. Ellis will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 24, at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church in Brundidge, with Rev. Malcom Parker and Rev. Ashley Faulk officiating. Funeral home is Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge. She will lie in state 30 minutes before the service. Burial will follow the service at Mt. Olive Assembly of God Church Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at Skeen Funeral Home in Brundidge.

Mrs. Ellis was born March 23, 1920 in Alabama. Her parents were Pete Ellis and Media McWaters Ellis. She was a retired homemaker.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Joe C. Ellis, Brundidge; three brothers, Foster Ellis, Brundidge, Fulmer Ellis, Crestview, Fla., and Fonza Ellis, Brundidge; two sisters, Annie Clyde Bundy, Luverne, and Connie Turvin, Brundidge.

Survivors include brother and wife, Foremand and Lucille Ellis, Brundidge; sister and husband, Alice and Richard Bundy, Brundidge; two sisters-in-law, Ineze Ellis, Brundidge, and Nadine Ellis, Crestview, Fla.; and several nephews and nieces.

Pallbearers will be her nephews.
