Nola Mae Faulkner
Services for Nola Mae Faulkner, 83, of Luverne, formerly of Bruce Street in Troy, who died Sunday, July 10, 2005 at Luverne Health and Rehab in Luverne will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2005 at Macedonia Baptist Church in Bullock County with Revs. J. C. Turner and Matt Helms officiating.
Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery under the direction of Skeen Funeral Home of Troy. She will lie in state from 2: 30 p.m. until 3 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Faulkner was preceded in death by her husbands, Lavell Hendrix and Arthur Faulkner; sisters and husbands, Pearl and Buddy Williams, Luanza and Elmer Allen and Mozell and Denzil Day; brother, Hozie Williams and other brothers- in -law, Louie Oakes, Emory McLendon and Matt Whittington.
Survivors include three sisters, Joyce McLendon of Greenville, Cleone Oakes of Banks and Ruby Whittington of Montgomery; local caregivers and nieces, Barbara Lester of Goshen, Leona and J.C. Turner of Troy and other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Charles Allen, David Allen, Greg Lester, James Oakes, DannyWhittington and Buck Williams.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Lucious Faulkner, Marvin Faulkner, Milton Faulkner and James Fields
The family request memorials be made to Macedonia Cemetery Fund.
James Breford Holland
James Breford Holland, 80, of Troy, Alabama died at Troy Regional Medical Center in Troy Saturday, July 9, 2005.
Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, from 2 p.m. until 3 p.m.
Graveside services will be held at Hopewell Cemetery on Tuesday, July 12, 2005, at 3:30 p.m. with Dr. John Lane officiating.
The pallbearers will be Dr. John Lane, Dr. Dan Lane, Andrew Young, Larry Rushing, Sr., Larry Rushing, Jr. and Gary Rushing.
Survivors include wife, Betty Sanders Holland of Troy, two sisters, Marilyn (Norman) Holland Woods of Lakeview, Ark., and Shirley (Thomas) Holland Lane of Mobile, two brothers, LeRoy (Jean) Holland of Algona, Wash., and John R. (Jeane) Holland of Flatrock, N.C., many nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews and cousins.
