Martha Newton Lewis

Martha Newton Lewis, 82, of Troy died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at her home. Funeral Services will be held Friday, July 22, 2005, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Dillard Funeral Home in Troy with Reverend Alan McBride officiating. 

Family graveside services will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Dillard Funeral Home in Troy directing.  Visitation will be held Friday July 22, 2005 from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Survivors include, daughter and son-in-law, Paula and John Weiss of Montgomery,  sons and daughters-in-law,  Charles and Carolyn Lewis of Birmingham,  Philip and Amelia Lewis of Birmingham,  Robert Lewis of Troy,  grandchildren,  William Lewis of Birmingham, Dr. Sam and Joanne Lewis of Duncan, Oklohoma,  John and Michelle Lewis of Alabaster,  Sarah Lewis of Birmingham,  Dr. Shelley Lewis of Birmingham,  five great-grandchildrren

She was preceded in death by her husband,  Dr. Paul Lewis,  sisters, Laura Henry and Virginia Gubsch. 

Serving as pallbearers will be her grandchildren and Homer Anderson,  Honarary pallbearers will be , Margaret Farmer, Eleanor McKellar, Barbara Swisher,  Adalene Williams, Joanne Newman, and the Modern Study Club Members.

In lieu of Flowers Memorials can be made to the Troy Public Library.
