Annie L. Foster

Services for Annie L. Foster, 82, of Shady Grove who died Friday, May 27, 2005 at Troy Regional Medical Center will be held Saturday, June 4, 2005 at 12 noon from the Rock Elvy Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Raymond Franklin will be officiating.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

She is survived by a loving husband of 65 years, John A. Foster of Shady Grove; two daughters, Essie Mitchell of Shady Grove and Annie R. Givens of Columbus, Georgia; eleven grandchildren, Maxine, Sharon, Kesia, Bridgett, Tangela, Tim, Tyrone, Gwen, Shunda, Arthur and Derrick; four great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by two sons, three sisters and two grandsons. First cousins will serve as pallbearers

Grace Starling

Grace Starling, 82, 3359 County Rd. 63 in Troy, died Tuesday, May 31, 2005, at Troy Regional Medical Center.

Services were scheduled for 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Skeen Funeral Home Chapel in Troy, with Rev. Jimmy Eddins and Rev. Ellis Bowers officiating. Burial at Lakeview Cemetery in Brundidge followed the service.

Visitation was held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2005, at Skeen Funeral Home, Troy.

She was born May 13, 1923, in Kenmore, Ohio. Her parents are the late Wesley Berry and Agnes Henderson Berry. The retired homemaker was a member of First Assembly of God Church in Troy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Walter Starling, two sons, Robert Lamar Starling and James Derrill Starling, and her parents.

Survivors include daughter, Sara Sanders of Troy; eight grandchildren, Melanie Carr of El Paso, Texas; Jamey Lamar Sanders of Troy; Anthony Derrill Starling of Jay, Fla.; Terri Starling of Jay, Fla.; Harvey Dean Starling of Fitzpatrick; Robert Dean Starling of Fitzpatrick; Jeffrey Alan Sanders of Montgomery; James Dean Starling of Fitzpatrick; and 11 great-grandchildren.
