Sylvia Elizabeth Harris

Sylvia Elizabeth Harris, 78, of Troy died, Tuesday, May 10, 2005. Visitation will be held at Dillard Funeral Home in Troy on Friday, May 13, 2005, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Dillard Funeral Home Chapel in Troy on Saturday, May 14, 2005, at 2 p.m. with Dr. Ed Walter and Dr. Ellis Bush officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memorial Park in Troy.

The pallbearers will be Robert Mitchell, Trey Baggett, Clint Allen, Lewis Fannin, Bob Prevett, Patrick Lucas and Michael Brown.

Honorary pallbearers will be the Builders Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.

She was loved by her husband of 59 years, Dan M. Harris, Jr. of Troy; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca H. and Buddy Fowee of Troy; son and daughter-in-law, Dan M. and Sherry J. Harris, III of Montgomery; granddaughters and grandsons-in-law, Christi H. and Trey Baggett of Prattville and Joy H. and Clint Allen of Huntsville; six great-grandchildren, Katie Elizabeth Harris, Haylee Crimson Baggett, Anna Kathryn Allen, Emily Lynn Allen, Brayden Baggett and Brody Baggett;

sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Evelyn M. Lee and Clarence Chaney of Beaumont, Texas, and Jewell Mason Barrow of Red Level;

sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Annette and Paul Boswell of Lynn Haven, Fla.; nieces, Marlynn Rumm of Beaumont, Texas, Beverly Prevett of Valparlso, Fla., and Paula Mitchell of Gainesville, Fla.; nephews, Dean Brown of Bridgton, Maine, Michael Brown of Red Level and Jimmie Lee, Jr. of Mansfield, Texas; special friends, Lavada Price and Louise Messick. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charlie A. Mason of Red Level.

Willie C. &uot;Bob&uot; White

Willie C. &uot;Bob&uot; White, 64, of Troy died at Troy Regional Medical Center on May 6, 2005. Visitation will be from 1 to 5 p.m. for the public viewing and the wake will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on May 13 at Harrison Funeral Home. Services will be May 14, 2005 at 3 p.m. at the Pike County High School Gymnasium in Brundidge. Burial will follow at Fox and Francis White Memorial Cemetery.

White was born on August 29, 1940 in Pike County to Fox and Francis White. He was pastor of the White Water Missionary Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Eva, and their children: Bonita Dix, Sherrie Jones, Terrial White, Ricky White, Willie Fox, Sr. White, Aretha Bean, Sophia Kelly, Christopher Sr. Adrain White and Tiffany Dunn. Two grandchildren, one great granddaughter, three brothers, one sister, 12 sisters-in-law, four brothers-in-law and a host of nieces and nephews.

Arthur Jackson, Jr.

Arthur Jackson, Jr., 77, of Troy died May 8, 2005 at his home. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 12, 2005 from 12:30 to 5 p.m. at Lilly Missionary Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1 p.m. at Lilly Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. John H. Curry and James McClure officiating. Burial will follow at Bethel A.M.E. Church Cemetery in Goshen, Ala.

Jackson was born on April 18, 1928 to Arthur Jackson, Sr. and Ola Mae Jackson. He worked for and retired from the International Paper Company and was a member of the Bethel A.M.E. Church of Goshen.

He is survived by his wife Georgia Mae Jackson of 54 years and their 12 children: sons: Willie Arthur, Willie Junior, James Lee, Selma Lee, Joe Cephas, Tommy Edward and Sammy Dee. Daughters: Betty Sue Jones, Betty Siler, Charlene Johns, Annie Jean Jackson and Patricia Tolbert.

He is also survived by four sisters-in-law: Mary Emma Freeman, of Panama City, Fla., Betty Jane Jones, Ruthia Mae Jackson and Velma Jackson of Cincinnati, Ohio and two brothers-in-law: Adell Jackson and Joe Tom Jackson of Panama City, Fla.
