Born November 26, 1911 to Mr. and Mrs. Redding Turner (neecents Anna DuBose), she was the last survivor of their issue.

She taught school briefly before marrying Woodson Norris Blanton in 1933 and became licensed in Cosmetology.

Most of her years were devoted to her family and home.

She was gentle, kind, patient, generous, industrious, uncomplaining, loving, and had a quiet dignity.

She will be sorely missed.

Mrs. Blanton was preceded in death by her husband, Norris, of 51 years and a son, Leon, who died as a young child from a fall.

Surviving are her son James and daughter-in-law, Eleanor; daughter, Mildred; one grandson, Edward, and several nieces and nephews.
